No scanner, but there is a mobile app and it links to the database that has all the nutritional information for pretty much every food you'd scan anyways.

Stats: Female, 5'4", 28 years old.

Goal: From 152 (07/24/2011) to 125 by December, 2011. DONE! December 4th weighed in at 124. In 2012 I've been maintaining around 122, which is a thirty pound loss. My BMI has gone from 26.1 to 20.9 since following the Spark plan!

Haven't watched the video but curious if there if Spark has an app that you can scan the food to get the nutritional info on it? I have a separate one on my phone and I've just been scanning items and then switching them over if they are not on the list but would be easier if I didn't have to redo all the items. Thanks, Julie

How do I track the food I eat?

In the orange bar at the top of the page, put your mouse on "My Trackers" and then follow the link to "My Nutrition".

How can I see Spark's suggested meal plans? How can I turn the suggested meal plans on and off?

On the "My Nutrition" page, look under the date for "Tracker Options". Hold your mouse over this button and choose "Show Meal Plans" to turn the plan on, or "Hide Meal Plans" to turn the plan off.

How can I change the suggested meal plan?

On the "My Nutrition" page, look under the date for "Tracker Options". Hold your mouse over this button and choose "Change diet settings". Spark can suggest meal plans to meet a number of dietary needs.

How do I track foods that aren't on the meal plan?

A food on the suggested meal plan isn't tracked until you check the box to say you ate it. If you don't check the box, it doesn't get counted towards your caloric and nutritional needs. If you eat something that wasn't on your daily meal plan just add it by using the "What did you eat?" search box on the Nutrition Tracker page. Search for the food you ate, change the measurement and then enter the quantity. You can play with "All words" and "Any words" if the food you're looking for doesn't come up; you can also "Search foods shared by other members" to find foods that aren't from the USDA nutritional database, but that other Sparkers have entered information for.
