usually we do a better job, when we aren't doing emoticon 2-5 things at a time.

Jill, I am not a good multi-tasker at all. I can have music on in the background no matter what I am doing, but I still can only accomplish one thing at a time. I need to focus on what I am doing or I'll get all mixed up. emoticon

The Power Of Focus chapter 6

The ability to practice these skills takes more discipline and practice than many people want to do. Most don't recognize the impact of too much multitasking . Maybe you do know your schedule is too full, to have margin. Your friends and family would prefer you to do certain things, plus your job either suggests strongly or demands other requirements. Society speaks loudly. You have things you want to participate in .

Figure out how to use your time more productively . When we use it wisely , we can get things done in a favorite part of the day, and still find flexibility to do something unforeseen ,such as divine appointments or a need arises .

The following is an overview of this chapter from Joyce ideas, into my words.

You limit your ability to do as well anything your doing if your mind is all over the place, or your doing too many things at once

To excel, attempt to do less multitasking. You can accomplish more by paying attention to one or two things at once.. When we aren't in the present moment, we become less efficient Distractions cause extra stress and frustration . For example, you might loose your peace or get weary , and it makes it hard to complete projects. One can make better decisions when not angry or tired.

When we learn to have better control over our bodies,habits, finances and habits, we generally feel more responsible and perceive a calmer balance in our lives.
