Yes, I am over excited, I have a garmin viofit that I just got for my birthday and turned on this morning. Now to get rid of the calories I had during my birthday vacation week.....my work outs did not go as planned.....too many late nights do not motivate me to get up and be active with the alarm clock. Still time to do this :-)

I like the doctor's scale. I really should give in and get an electronic one.. maybe it will be a birthday present to myself. The Dr. had me at 233 yesterday! emoticon

Good news, I stayed active enough at work that I did not gain any weight while I went off the rails. I am still 237. Now to get in the 220s and to the ultimate goal of 180.... Keep pushing everyone, when we fall down get back up :-)

back in for a reboot to my goals. I got derailed and need to get back on track. Got carried away celebrating my husbands birthday. Now I really need to have control when my birthday comes up on the 28th. I will do a weigh-in tomorrow and see how bad things got. My clothes are still loose so that is a good thing at least. I need to make time to get online too, you all are an inspiration emoticon .

1234MOM I understand what you are saying about the sweets. I have a hard time resisting them to. Usually, if they are in my house I will eat them. I have been trying not to buy to many sweets but that is hard to do sometimes if you live with other people who are not dieting lol. I have also found that certain things make me crave sweets more. For example, diet pop seems to make me crave more sweets and sweets make me crave more sweets. If that makes any sense lol. Hopefully we can kick the habit of to many sweets, we can do this!

thank you all for the encouragement! Had a good weekend with hubby this weekend but I did go over calories a little bit each day. Thank goodness it wasn't enough to hurt me though, I weighed my self again this morning and stayed the same since friday. I didnt go over my calorie limit by much though. So its Motivation Monday and I am back to going to stay around 1600 calories today and rest of week. I seem to lose the most weight if I stay around the 1600 calorie mark. Hope everyone is having a good day! emoticon emoticon

Hi all...I will do what I can do, the fruits and veggies and water...good, exercise not so good. This week I have had a lot of walking to do and now I can barely move, with the stupid sciatica starting to throb..last time it flared up I had to stay in bed three, very long weeks. Today I did a lot of stretching and porch sitting. I go to the doc on Tues., next week, maybe we can find an answer for this issue. It is very hard to have been a type A personality, into sports and exercise most of my life and now just walking to the kitchen wears me out. Hard sometimes to keep positive and focused.

Being accountable to the teams here helps so much. If I do not check in regular, it is because I cannot type but I do read the articles and what you all have found that works. Thanks for sharing yourselves.

Okay, time to try and sleep, again!

day three and four(so far) going good! tomorrow is weigh in day for me so we will see how it goes! yesterday I had 1624 calories day before 1604 then day before that 1640something. That is a big decrease from what I was eating when I was off track and I have been drinking all my water instead of the sweet tea I was drinking when I was off track. Hopefully these changes have paid off some.

WTG on keeping up with all the exercise! As for me, yesterday(day 2 back on track) was a success. I had 1604 calories. I drank all my water, and got in a walk. Today is going good so far as well. Hopefully by this time tomorrow I will be on a three day streak!

I'm actually keeping up with exercising three - four days a week. I feel really good. I'm trying to mix it up by doing different things. Next week I'll go back to the fitness center and walk the treadmill. It seems that so much is going on this week I have no time for that. I will make time. Tomorrow aerobics and Thursday water aerobics. Have a great week everyone.

Hello guys!! I am proud to say that I have finally had a good day with my plan! I managed to eat only 1645 calories, drink 8 glasses of water, get in a walk, and that all equals my first day back on track!!! I am excited about this! Now lets see if tomorrow i can make a two day streak lol!

My update:
My goals were:
1. lose 10 pounds -I've lost 2 (but mostly because I have been sick)
2. Exercise 30 minutes 5x per week (not happening consistently)
3. Eat at least 3 fruits and vegetables a day (some days)
4. Drink 8 glasses of water a day!! (Done pretty well)

We can do this! Looks looks like this is the right time for a challenge with all the setbacks we've been having. This challenge is motivating me to get back up now that I am feeling better. I am down to 237, not sure if it counts since some of that is a drop from a stomach virus. I will see if I can maintain for a little while and then drop more. emoticon emoticon

hey guys! sorry I havent been here in so long. I have had a crazy month that began with my mom falling and breaking her leg and having to have surgery. Then I was out of town. Then I got sick and am just now recovering from a bad cold that turned into a sinus infection lol. With that said, I havent even been trying to diet. I havent even weighed myself in weeks. So, tomorrow I am going to get up and weigh myself and start from there. I will be back in the game soon.

Haven't checked in much!! Last week I was up 3.5 lbs and was NOT loving myself but really set some goals of fruit and veggie eating/ kicked up the exercise and was able to lose 5.2 this week!
Dr. of Physiatry gave me Botox injections for Dystonia (in my left arm) and Dropped Foot (in my left leg) last week. Dealing with the weirdness of muscle reactions from that! Gotta love some disabilities..but I'm alive!! Walking much better! Can't make a fist or tie my own shoes, but the pain is gone and my hand is open! A solution for one thing gave a temporary issue as another. Only a couple of months to go...then I can tie my own shoes again! emoticon

I've started coming down with the cold that is going around my house. My work out is not as intense but I am doing my best to get it in. I am struggling on fruit and veggies, they are not as appealing with this cold. Will keep pushing on. Glad to see others are doing well.

@SHAWFAN You got this emoticon Consistency is the key, the fact that you lost the 5 pounds shows you that it can be done and I know it wasn't easy to drop five pounds. I've been there drop lost drop lost until I forced myself to be consistent which is a process. The good thing is today is a new day to reset and emoticon that's the magic formula! emoticon

Food has been an issue for me over the last week. A lot of cravings and I keep giving in to them. Had lost 5 pounds, then gained them all back again. emoticon
Exercise has been hit or miss. Some days are great, others not so good. Depends on work and family.
Yeah, excuses, excuses. There shouldn't be any. Need to work on that.

Exercise and most goals are on target except for this weekend overnight outing with friends and I ate more than was supposed to but that was planned too because I took a 64 mile bike ride and knew I'd burn up a lot of it. Most was very healthy and only one 5 oz glass of wine.

90 min in garden and 70 min walk today, no letting up.

Hello Everyone! emoticon

emoticon Everyone is off to a great start, remember if you have distractions along the way emoticon !!

Last week was so fast pace for myself! Had many personal concerns going on! Had to go up to me child's school to address a teacher calling my daughter out in front of the entire class. It was beyond unprofessional, I was Extremely upset, I went to the school that morning to address the issue, my husband went that afternoon...by the time we were done, we had a meeting scheduled with the entire administration staff at the school ***very long story*** had to play catch up with my school work emoticon , had a chief ball to attend with my husband, and a couple of job interviews and my mom is having health problems but she is recovering thank God! All this to say my first week was rocky, I didn't gain any weight; however my body feel slightly week!

Will makeup for last week this week! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Moving Forward!! emoticon

I am hoping I do not catch the cold that my son brought home from kindergarten. My husband and daughter now have it. Maybe working out is sweating out the germs? Need to stay healthy, fruit and water must be helping too. emoticon

Did GREAT Wednesday and Thursday!
Wednesday: 20 minute walk in the morning plus 65 minutes on the elliptical that evening, with a lot of activity in between.

Thursday: 50 minute walk in the morning and 30 minute core exercises in the evening, again with a lot of activity in between.

Stepped on the scale this morning and was emoticon 2 lbs!!

I got a good workout in. I did a barre workout and a circuit training workout. I also walked today. I'm trying my best to meet the five cups of 8 oz of water. I do feel good. I'm glad I'm on this challenge. emoticon

Had a bump in the road. I was fighting off a stomach bug and did not want to do my normal cardio work out but I did stretch and did light cario yesterday. Feeling better today and forced myself back on track. emoticon

So far so good for me. I didn't exercise on Monday but I am hitting it everyday this week. I only take one day off a week and I will try not to do that either. Food and water is good.

Standard Goals:

#1 At least 30 Minutes of exercise daily emoticon , if not daily at least (5x a week)
Try very hard not to let no more than two days pass you by without working out.

#2 emoticon At least five glasses a water a day!

#3 Fruits and Vegetables~~Add at least one serving of fruits and vegetables with your meals at least (2x daily)

#4 Post here at least twice a week and let us know how your are doing!!!
