Hello Team! I wanted to share some information with you about "Shakeology" I tried these shakes a couple of times and love them. I would blend one up in the morning and have it for breakfast before working out. This shake completely curved my appetite and kept me full up until lunch time. When I was taking these shakes I had no desire for coffee in the morning for it gave me natural energy. Just thought I would share. Oh by the way they are a little on the expensive side but very much worth the price.

@UNDRCOVERCURVES

I will try Stevia, it's pretty good and has zero calories; however if you currently do not have any underlying health conditions...sugar in very "limited quantities" will not hurt you. For instance, some people may put 10 packets of sugar in their coffee...instead of 10 drop it down to 4....etc.

I would like to know what y'all think about sugar. With so so many new forms of I sometimes wonder, is it really better? I only ask because if anyone has suggestions. Perhaps it can make for a better recipe with a different sugar. Thanks.

@Liberty Joy Have you had a physical lately?? I'm not sure if I asked you this already but sometimes it's underlying factors that causes us not to lose weight. For instance a few years ago I found out I was Vitamin D deficient, and diagnosed with Hypothyroidism by having lab work done......At one point my potassium was even low. Be sure to get a physical if you haven't already....Once I got these conditions stable and cleared up I felt better and slowly started to see results. emoticon

I love doing the workouts that are found online ... somehow it makes it feel like I'm not alone especially if they are a good instructor. Needs to be very basic routines for me currently; and without overly complicated moves or I get lost emoticon but there is so much variety for different stages that it is easy to find things out there.

The trouble with goals can be when we don't meet them; even when we are doing all the right things. Like losing 2lbs a week should be easy for me and I've blogged and written about this elsewhere; I had a realistic goal, I'm taking the steps to get there but I'm not losing the weight. Getting healthier which is great, but I sure want to see the weight go down as well. Going to check your link in a sec turinky to see if there are other things I need to know.

Here is another article I wanted to post on sadness and depression...At times many people do not like to tackle this head on but we must be aware of the symptoms in helping others as well as educating ourselves:

@MAGICHOUR My sister is the same way, I have my moments at times when I just simply don't feel like going to the gym. One of the things that helped my sister as well as myself is to pull up YouTube workout videos, on your cell, laptop, etc.....and workout in the comfort of your home.....they have numerous free workout routines and you can get down and dirty in your home while building up that endurance and strength.... emoticon

I joined Planet Fitness due to the judgement free zone thing. But I still am intimidated by all the people who are in such great shape. And am kinda scared to sign up for the personal trainer which is free but I had a bad experience at another gym when I signed up. He had me going on the elliptical machine and after a few minutes I told him I was really light headed and felt funny but he told to me to keep going. A few minutes later I passed out cold and ended up sick. I did get a good walk in this morning with the kids. I walked a half a mile and thought I would never make it home but I did and I feel great with even more energy now!

I agree that being realistic in goal-setting is important. For example, I want to lose 10 pounds per month or about 2 pounds per week. However, on a daily basis I focus on little changes and baby steps- drinking water, getting enough sleep, healthier eating choices, walking for at least 30 minutes. This has made that one "bad" day seem like not such a big deal which in turn stopped me from just throwing in the towel. As for doing an actual workout at a gym, that is definitely something I would want a partner to go with . I was thinking when I reached a big milestone (20 pounds) and had the extra funds, I might go to curves where I wouldn't feel so self conscious. Maybe that would be an option for you, Magic Hour? Either way, find some way to get active and let's do this!

I have been doing good with watching my eating and adding more veggies. My problem comes in with the working out. I hate to workout alone. I need someone who is right there with me working out with me. I am normally very shy until I get to know people so is hard for me to just go up to someone and ask them at the gym if they would be my workout buddy. None of my friends are willing to go to the gym with me and keep saying they think I am perfect as I am. But I know I'm not the best me I can be. I need advice and some help.

On my journey in getting healthy there has been much trial and error. I'm finally seeing steady positive results and just wanted to share a few of these steps with you guys! Please feel free to share yours, we would love to know emoticon :

1. Even if I'm having a bad day such as cheating on my diet, feeling down, etc.....I STILL WORKOUT....If we can mentally condition ourselves to work out on our bad days...than heck we already know we solved 50% of the problem...For on our good days it's not that difficult.

2. One day at a time and making realistic goals. I would often say, okay in two months I want to drop 30 pound..... emoticon ...Ok is this possible? Yes, to some but not for many....We must be realistic in our goals...perhaps 8 pounds per month -2 pounds per week may be more realistic for many. emoticon
