Not bringing things into my home so they aren't available later in a moment of weakness is definitely a favorite strategy.

I'm struggling with making excuses to not work out. Today I have a good one - I'm sick and dehydrated - but most days I just find some lame reason not to get out the door until I no longer have time or until the pool is closed. I'm good about strength training, which I can easily do in my living room and it goes just as well if I do it in several little ten minute chunks so I don't have to really commit to get myself started. But morning runs and evening swims are so easy to wimp out on. In another couple months I'll be close to a Black Girls Run group that has am runs two days a week that are perfect for my schedule - it will be a way to meet new people in my new town and having people expect me to show up is really good for my motivation. I haven't found any other good strategies. Suggestions welcome!

Hey Sorors! I find that it easier to access just where I am when I write/journal about it. Today's topic is about identifying obstacles. One problem I was having was consuming too much sugar and WINE. After I identified it, it became a lot easier. I would just buy LESS things with sugar. This one little change has caused me to loose 10 pounds!!! What small changes can you make today?

Yesterday only defines my point of origin, TODAY defines who I am.
