well, I did eat more veggies ( I made a smoothie out of them which the rest of my staff raised their eyebrows at) but I did not do well with the exercise portion AT ALL. And of course, I totally forgot to NOT get on the scale

My goals this week are to exercise at least 5 days. Drink at least 8 cups of water. Eat at least 5 veggies a day

I find that writing down my goals and making sure I keep them is a great way to stay focused. Most definitely will take this challenge.

One for the week is to keep my mind occupied. When I get bored I have to fight harder not to compulsively eat, two is to interact more with my neighbors..i'm such a isolator but working hard to change that. Three is to walk at least two times a day no matter the length, just to do it.

November 8
Goal #1 Eat 50 20 30
Goal #2 Exercise 60 minutes
Goal #3 Stay under 1500 sodium

November 15
Goal #1 Exercise my brain.
Goal #2 Up my weights from two pounds to three.
Goal #3 Keep sodium under 1500

First, I want to explain why the non-scale challenges. Often we become consumed with how much we weigh, how much we lose or how much we gain. Our lives can begin to revolve around the numbers that are snapshots of the moment that we weigh in. Some of us get scale crazy and jump on the scale every time we enter the room with the scale. We become so scale obsessed that we forget that we are looking for a healthier lifestyle. The non-scale challenge focuses on the healthy habits that we need to develop. We can track these habits and encourage each other as we strive to make this our lifestyle.

I have been having the hardest time reintroduction exercise into my routines. A member from one of my other teams has suggested that I just commit to 10 minutes daily. Even when I am hurting, I believe that I can do 10 minutes. So my first goal for November is 10 minutes of exercise daily.
I am trying to get the perfect attendance trophy. I haven’t had it in a long time. Being on the site every day gives me more of a chance to be successful. My second goal for November is to sign on and spin the wheel daily.

I need to focus on the food. I can’t always be on the computer to track my meals. I can plan a menu for the week and track whether I stick with the menu plan daily. The food check will be my number three goal for November.
I am going to make November Non-Scale Challenge the first sticky. I encourage everyone to select three things they will work on or carry over the three from October. We can use the daily post to report or the weekly tracker below. Have a Great November.
