Congrats to all of our January Challenge success members. I squeaked out 6 tents of a pound for January....sure hope I'm on the road to recovery because I dont' think I can handle another month with such slow progress....exercise has been good, just can't get the eating under control. Think I'm on my way though...pray for me!

Hello all,
I haven't been posting much. I am really trying to get myself "in hand'. I had another 1 pound loss this week. Would love it to be bigger but I'm going to take it as the scale is moving in the right directions. I am trying hard to resolve my physical issues because I know that ZIz need the exercise. It seems that as I address and deal with one issue, another pops up to take its place. Hope that you are all doing well and moving into February optimistic about doing your best.

Cyipra: You are awesome. Down two pants sizes is cause for celebration. How about a spa day?

Had a .8 loss for BLC weigh in today. I am claiming it. With no exercise and putting limits on just everyday movement, it is a miracle that I showed any loss. I ordered some DVD to help me get back to fitness. The first one arrived today and I did a 15 minute, one mile walk. It was not pretty. I was huffing and puffing something fierce. I am amazed at how short a period of time it takes to go completely backwards in terms of fitness. I've had a better handle on my food even though I haven't been perfect. I am indeed a work in progress.

Temeka: Way to go.
Cook: Trying to do a quarter of what you do for fitness.
Stacy: 10 pounds is awesome--you're our poster girl!

Hey ladies I'm really happy today, I'm down 5 pounds!!! I have been really strict on my calorie intake as well as the type of calories I'm taking in. I'm hoping that I receive my Stacy Anderson workout today so I can start burning more calories!!!

Good Morning WOC,
Had a 2# lb. loss at BLC18's weigh in on Wednesday. Gained 7 over the holiday so still working on getting the other 5 off so I can be on my way for the remaining _ _ lbs :-). Slowly building my exercise back up to 120 mins a day. Fell off wagon Christmas but feeling stronger everday.

1.2 pounds is a good start!
I did the original Tae Bo last night and plan to do it again tonight. I ordered the Tracy Anderson Metamorphasis work out and hope to have it by the end of the week. I have been hearing great things about this and I need a new workout that doesn't involve going to the gym.

My first weigh-in with BLC 18 was this morning. I lost 1.2 pounds. This is certainly not spectacular but I've eaten out this week, been to a breakfast and a wedding. Still having pain issues that keep me from doing much physical activity. I will just have to more vigilant about what I am eating.

Good morning Ladies. Had a rough start to my day after I weighed myself. I really over did it over the weekend and gained like 5 pounds. I'm sure this is all water so I should be able to get it off quickly but it just makes me realize that I MUST focus on eating right and getting my work outs in. I'm going to make this a good week!!!

Jumping in late for this one, but I would like to at least lose 5 lbs by the end of the challenge 2/17/12. I think although Im late its doable. Im not a water drinker, so thats where Im gonna start...getting in my water, and the exercise. I need to realistice because I have fibromyalgia I can't say I'm gonna work out 6 days a week because some days are better than others but I will work towards a minimum of 3 days/week to start.

More water, fruits and veggies, sounds like you ladies are on the right track. I have been down with swollen painfully knees. That's a bummer because I need to exercise to lose weight even if I am watching my food intake. Hope you all remembered and celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. King today. I have been holding fast, logging my meals and drinking lots of water. I have not had a soda in a week and a half; this is huge for me. Lost almost 3 lbs. I am proud of myself, but still need continued prayers. Keep moving.

I usually drink about a gallon a day, I don't even think about it much but I really prefer to drink water or green tea over any other beverage.

Well my weight did not change this week. Going to get five days worth of workouts in this week and cut down on the carbs.

did better today with the fruits and beggies. Most of the veggies were with my lunch salad and 2 fruit servings. did a 3.65 mile walk/run and got 8 glasses of water in (usually more but I had a boatload of coffee today!)

Great job Shay!!! I'm going to weigh in on Friday morning. I'm hoping to have a big drop this week also since it will be mostly water loss from cutting calories. Tonight I'm breaking out the VCR (LOL) so that I can do the original Tae Bo work out. I know it will whip me into shape in no time.

Glad to see so many involved in this challenge. i start the BLC 18 on Wednesday and will drop in here to chat about how that's going for me. My overall goal is to lose 15 pounds during the 12 weeks. I am really looking to get a lot fitter between now and July when I go visit friends in another state. My weight in is on Wednesday so I'll post here on next Friday.

My goal is to lose 4 pounds by 1/25/12
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Walk on treadmill 30 min 2x a week with incline half of that time
3. Before putting ANYTHING in my mouth put it into the food tracker
4. Cutting back on sugar
5. Eating more proteins

My goal for January is to lose 8 lbs...

1. eat at least 3 fruit/veggies per day
2. drink at least 96 oz of water daily
3. 3 days cardio/2 strength training per week
4. fast food once a week
5. Limit sodium

Due to personal obligations, I can only commit to my water aerobics class 3 times a week. I also commit to doing the sparkpeople st vedio for 10 to 15 minutes daily.

It's Fri already. This challenge kicked my buttttt! I worked my way up to 65 wall pushups/25 situps at a time. I'm gonna have to do this again next week until I can do 100 of each at one time!

1/11/11 Evening Workout 30 situps**
Ok, Monday was a bust! I did not get a workout in at all and did not meet my daily challenge...Today is a new day and I am already focused on making sure I get my workout in today and STAY ON TRACK with my food and logging it! Have a good day ladies!

You can START with 10 of each but the challenge is 100 of each EVERY DAY. OUCH!

I'm breakng mine up into 3 sessions a day - About 33 of each for each session for the 1st few days and see if I can do more each session by the end of the week.

I can do 33 pushups - only managing 10 situps.

Monday January 10, 2011 will be my official start day for this journey. 100 pushups, (10 in the mornings, 10 at nights for 5 days =100??? 100 situps same strategy, except, everytime i do situps my belly get bigger...any advice?

Tried to jumpstart my 100 situps/pushups. If I had a webcam NOBODY would be able to do this challenge. You can't possibly do them while you're rolling around on the floor laughing at me! Situps aren't too bad since I've been doing crunches and if you anchor your feet under the edge of furniture it helps stabilize you. But I finally decided wall pushups work the best for me and since it seems like cheating I'm gonna work up to 200. emoticon
