I'm a work in progress too.

I've always enjoyed sweets however I can't say I've always had a "sweet tooth". The amount of sugar added to common food had increased greatly over the years and my tastebuds have come to expect a certain amount of sweetness and going that step beyond to using to deal with very stressful times.

Why I don't have time to go completely RAW with my foods, I have been cutting, chopping, pureeing, etc veggies and fruit and adding them to regular products and cutting down on the sugar per serving, i.e, make larger portion of salsa part of which is pureed and added to regular spaghetti sauce. Weaning myself off is working well for me.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

I hear you...........
I don't have sweets around but do eat them at special occasions like Birthday Parties or Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. I believe in moderation and NOT cutting them out completely, but don't tempt fate by having them around all of the time.
I wish you the emoticon Sugar can be quite tempting, but emoticon

I have always had a sweet tooth, ever since I can remember. I find that if I have something sweet, I just want more. My problem is, there are times that I cannot control this. I try to use different fruits to help me with this and even other foods. With me, I also find that certain textures just don't do it for me. I used to have better control. I am a work in progress.
