Hey all:

Baby Theodore Alexander was born on Oct 14! By the time I got home I had lost 15 lbs and by the 21st I was down another 10 lbs. That put me at 200 lbs, below my prepregnancy start weight! So 2% of 200 lbs is 4 lbs. I'm already down another 2 lbs from breast feeding, picking up toys, cleaning and chasing after two other kids. I've also been able to get out for an hour walk with my family and an evening grocery shopping (almost all by myself. I had to take Theodore with me.)

I'm up to the challenge 2% for me would be 6.1 lbs current weight 307lbs. I've lost 44lbs since January of this year. Total weight lost is 62lbs. Somehow I manage to gain 7lbs of the weight back.

This sounds like it could be fun though I will start after I deliver baby #3. I know I'll lose about 20lbs right after delivery so that will skew my results.

Any that are interested. We are going to set a goal to lose 2% of our body weight in the month of October.

On Oct. 1st record your weight here and what your 2% goal is. An easy way to do that is multiply your current weight by 2 then move the decimal place two spots to the left. That's your goal!

So if you weigh 211 x 2 + 422 or 4.2 pounds is your goal.

To clarify an entry would look like this:

Margie 10/1 236
2% goal 4.7 lbs.

You can weigh in IN this TOPIC each week if you would like example:

Margie 10/1 236
2% goal 4.7 lbs
10/7 234.5

This is a great way to focus your journey and make progress. It's easier to tackle a SMALL achievable goal in a finite amount of time.
