Exercise: Team walk

I am going home this weekend for a visit. I would love to start walking with someone maybe ahike or two. I am new to this area. Perhaps you know of a nice place to start out at.

Looks like this board has been inactive for quite some time, but lets get it goin again! I'm free on the weekends, M-F I am at work at 7 and work out afterwards till about 6 so outside of that I'm down :)

Would love to walk. Love to meet new people and if it's the right time I could make it.

I wasn't planning one but would be more than happy to meet up for a walk.

Okey-doke. I just chose second Saturdays of the month because I thought it'd be easy to remember; however, I'm very flexible.

If you or any of our other team members has another day or time in mind, please post it here or send me a message. All ideas considered. :)

It's going to be hot out there (84° on the patio) but I'm going to get myself ready and force myself -- will also check back just in case.

This Saturday morning, May 16th...would anyone like to join me for a 2.5 - 3 mile walk? We should start sometime between 7 & 8AM.

It will be in Gilbert but within a mile of the Mesa/Gilbert border.

Oops, this one got away from me. I'm up pretty late but I will be walking tomorrow, and will do a check in here first thing in the morning.

Second Saturday is tomorrow.

Anyone game for tomorrow morning? I will be walking either way but the time I choose depends on whether anyone would like to meet up. I'll try to check in here a little later tonight.

Sounds good, let's try for this Saturday. When the weather gets really hot, I'll be very willing to do an early morning walk, too.

I can do a Tuesday or Thursday evening, too. I can walk pretty fast but didn't get too far with the jogging.

Sounds great to me. Evening walks on Tuesday or Thursday would be great for me as well. Unfortunately, I have a normal 8-5 m-f job in Scottsdale so mornings are out unless someone is like me and a very early riser (I have to be home to get ready to leave for work by 6:30AM). I typically have been taking Sunday as my rest day, but wouldn't be adverse to dropping a Tues/Thursday workout in favor of a Sunday one if that works better for others. I typically walk with the Chandler walking team on Saturdays even though it's a drive for me, but a once a month (or more if it works out) with you guys closer to home would be fantastic as far as I'm concerned.

Perhaps we could try for a monthly walk or hike, say the second Saturday of each month.

Hahahaha! Usually I have no plans for my Wednesday mornings BUT I do tomorrow! That is too funny. We will get it together at some point! we will not give up hope!

I would love to do the Saturday morning walk except I work almost every Saturday. I am off very rarely. But if anyone needs a dentist on Saturday mornings let me know!

The current weather is great for walking and just generally being outdoors. So, I thought it might be a good time to bring up the idea of a group walk again. One idea is to schedule a regular walk and/or hike. There are many great paths in the Riparian Preserve which is behind the Southeast Regional Library at Greenfield & Guadalupe.

As a consideration, perhaps once a month to get started, probably a Saturday morning. Please post here to let me know if you are interested or to offer any comments or other ideas. Thanks!
