Still battling TOM and getting over my 'cold' which ended up being bronchitis or something, which I'm treating with antibiotics. 254. Down .2 lbs. I want to be down 4.8 lbs from today's weight in the next 2 weeks, so I'm really buckling down.

I haven't weighed in for a while but I am going to start back today. I weighed in today at 236.2. My beginning weight 2 months ago was 250.4. I can honestly say I am starting to feel a little better physically since the weight has been coming off. I still have a long way to go. Wish me luck.

Weighed in on Friday, but never logged it. 254.2. Not where I wanted to be, but I was battling the dreadful TOM and also am still battling a nasty cold since last Tuesday or Wednesday...
not going to let it get me down! :) I aim to be feeling better and weighing in at a lower weight this Friday :)

I normally weigh myself on Fridays, but missed it this week. Today I was 199.0 :( Not the most I've ever weighed (205 lbs), but bad enough. It can only go down from here :)

Today my weight is still at 273.4 lbs. Still a lot of stress this week. Tomorrow makes 16 years since we lost myolder brother in a 1 car roll over accident. He was only 36 & his son was 15. The son is now 31. Joshua was not with his dad.

Gained almost 8 lbs while my husband's family was up for his grandmother's 80th birthday party. Good news is, though, that I dropped from 258.2 on Monday to 252.6 today. Hoping to be out of the 250s next week :)

Hendrickssissy - It will happen for you! Sounds to me like you are an emotional eater. I can relate. I find that if I find things, to replace my emotional eating, that kick up adrenaline (even something as simple as going for a walk), I feel better about myself. Instead of turning to eating and being a Debbie Downer, try to substitute exercise for eating in those times when it just doesn't seem to be going your way. emoticon

I didn't post Friday because I was so upset! I gained 2 pounds last week and that just sent me into a downward spiral. I ate anything and everything all weekend long and I bet if I weighed this morning we could have added another couple of pounds. I'm going to try again this week but somebody please tell me this is going to start working at some point because I have been doing it now for 3 months and I continue to struggle with the same 3 or 4 pounds over and over again.

50 years and 50 pounds. One pound for each year of life! Quitting smoking was the first step. This is the second.

Sadly I gained 0.2lb this week but I was not too focused on my food intake and I was unable to exercise due to a tooth being pulled. Hoping to do better next Friday.

I lost 7.1 lb. this week. Woohoo! Change up in routine really helped give me an extra boost for sure.

Had a great week but the weigh-in showed different. Up 1.5 lbs. I was a little discouraged today but I say this quote and it mad me laugh..

My weigh in is Monday but forgot until after breakfast so weighed this morning and only gained .2 which is awesome with the bad week I had. My weight last Mon was 260.6 and this tues. it was 260.8. I can accept that but will work harder this week. I also am busy getting packed for my trip to Alaska on Aug. 21 and really stressing on it lol. Have less then a week and so afraid I won't be ready. Been slowly laying things out and had bought a couple things but haven't taken the time to try them on yet. Maybe what I am most stressed about is the pictures that will be taken that I avoid with the plague. We had this booked since Feb. and my goal ( which I obviously never succeeded ) was to weigh 30 to 40 lbs less. Ok so I only got 17 off. If I do well maybe by Mon. I could make it an even 20 which is going to have to do. After the 20th won't be weighing in till I get home on the 29th then will wait till the coming Mon. before I weigh myself. Well I may weigh myself out of curiosity but won't let anyone know until the Mon I weigh in. lol. Good Luck everyone!

After my first two weeks of careful calorie counting and daily exercise, I calculated exactly the same loss---.02 pounds. Just remember that it's still a loss and that you are developing a new, healthier lifestyle. You'll see the difference in the way your clothes fit, in your energy level and your general sense of well-being. I even see it in the quality of my sleep.

Now, after a whole summer of these changes, nothing drastic except generally eating less and eating more good, uncomplicated foods and staying active, I can still only count only 6 pounds lost, but I look different and definitely feel different.

As you say, one pound for each year of life. This is a lifetime project. You've already accomplished a major milestone by quitting smoking. How great is that!!! So now be kind to yourself. You are on the right track.

I've lost 4 more lbs. this week.

1" waist, 4.5" hips, 1/2" chest, 1/2" right thigh (left thigh, left arm, right arm -same measurements as last week).

That makes a total of 56.5 lb. gone from my highest weight of 312-I'm now 255.5 WOOHOO emoticon emoticon

I lost 4.8 pounds this week...Making it to my first 20 pounds gone goal! emoticon
Last week I stalled, but when I went to the closet and tried on some clothes that haven't fit for a while, THEY FIT...makes it worth all the work! It's not easy...but it is getting easier emoticon

Good Morning. Remember that some times the scale does not move but you could have lost inches. Also you didn't gain all your weight over night so it all want drop off over night. Hang in there you can do it. emoticon
