There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And
maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
Breathe in love & compassion.. Breathe out peace & forgiveness.

One really does feel better eating more fiber. Interestingly, a few years ago I was having some problems with IBS and the gastroenterologist I consulted told me she advises all her patients over 55 yrs old to consume a nice, rounded tablespoon of metamucil daily to increase their fiber. Since then I have followed her advice and my IBS went away never to return. I also set a 30 gram daily fiber goal. Today I am making pearl barley which has more fiber than many grains, including brown rice. How do I know this? I read the labels!

Happy Tuesday to you!

Are you eating enriched, white flour in your foods?
If you are, STOP!!!
Foods full of enriched, white flour are not as good for you as foods full of whole grains.

Your challenge today is to EAT WHOLE GRAINS & SKIP THE WHITE FLOUR.
Try whole grains in:

*Your cereal
*Your bread, bagel, tortilla
*Your rice, pasta

Remember to READ LABELS! Look for a high fiber content in what you are eating. When I go shopping, I look for items that list whole grains AND have a higher fiber count.

What are YOU eating today that has whole grain?

Have a great Tuesday!
