You sound like me :) in that I started journalising to find out what my problem was on not being able to loose weight. The truth is the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, nutritionist, had me write everything down. One day I had the tv on and Dr Oz's show was on, and he was saying that there may be an allergy to dairy if you are doing everything right, (eating habits, exercise) and still gaining weight and not loosing. Well, I was doing everything right and I was gaining! He said to find out if you had this allergy: omit dairy for two weeks, do not eat anything that has hidden dairy, whey, caisen. On the 2nd week start taking a probiotic (dairy-free). At the end of the two weeks if you have a significant weight loss you have a significant milk allergy. I am lactose intolerant and I was only eating greek yogurt and lactose free fat free milk, no change in caloric intake just dropped the dairy and also dropped 8 lbs in 8 days!!!! Looking back in my journal I found that I got sick everytime I had dairy even the lactose free! So I am now dairy free. I thought I would miss the dairy but there are fantastic alternatives and I have not missed it at all. I am not going to willingly put something in my body that makes me sick and have an inflammatory response :). Food allergies bite but I sure am thankful I happened to watch tv that day and that I can start healing my body. I am excited to see if I can finally get this burden of weight off :D

Recently when i had reached a point where I didnt gain however i wasnt losing either I did something that i had never done before and well the light bulb went off. I first went over my nutrition tracker to see if I had been eating more or something different and I found out that I had not . Then I went to the fitness tracker and checked if i was getting lazy and no it wasnt there. So that meant it was only one other place to look. Beside my bed I keep a book that every night i just right notes to myself about the day nothing structured just if something hurt, what didnt hurt lol, what new foods and so on you get the point. So on night I sat down and started at the the beginning of that three week span. I found that on 10 different dates i mentioned my hands. most have seen where my hands remind me of my mother's so much so that i had decided that them being fat was better than remembering her every day. So I started dealing with that and I started losing weight again. The point is because i had written all this information down I could find the problem and address it. Hope this trick helps someone else.
