Its snowing here and very cold (southwest Michigan) so no outside activity. However, I am working on my Sweet Clover and Hazel Nut tree business plans. Then move onto my new hibiscus garden planned for this summer. Also making a list veggies to grow this year and determining what herbal teas to grow too. I’m a planner… 

Speaking of crocheting: This year I intend to crochet a block a month. Since I have 2 daughters and one future-son-in-law, I will be making three blocks a month in preparation for making my first afghans. But… weather has not allowed me to purchase my yarn for this endeavor – yet.

Hey we are country folk. What home-made thing are you doing now? I am making a farmer's wife's dress. I am going to make a matching apron. Today I am cooking chili from scratch. Going to serve it with home-made corn bread. I am also crocheting hearts in preparation for Valentine's Day.

Went to mailbox....saw cars, dogs and a rabbit. lol

I walked from my house over to one of our fields where my DH was cutting wood. Saw a couple of squirrels and white tailed hawk.

Walk anywhere or any place for 20 minutes and tell us where you went and what you saw.

While reading "Mary Janes Farm" magazine I came upon an article called Simple Country Treasures. One of the statements hit home to me. A nighttime wilderness sky...it envelops you, holds you tight, and makes you feel safe...this is one of the things I love about country living.
