I heard this suggestion on public radio recently -- Eat on the 1,2,3 plan. One vegetable at breakfast, 2 at lunch and 3 at dinner.

A similar idea would be to follow the government plate plan -- one half of your plate is vegetables, one quarter carbs and one quarter protein.

I have not found purple cauliflower anywhere yet but today I found purple beans. They start purple & turn green when you cook them. I want to try them again I sauted them with a bunch of veggies I got from the farm market but they were tough. They may need to be steamed. I'd never seen them before.

To get the point for today:


1 Try / Eat a peach




OR



2. do the " Card Challenge"


Each Suit will have a different exercise to it. You will draw a card and for Ace to 9 do that amount of the specific exercise. If you draw a 10 , Jack , Queen or King you will do 10 of that exercise.


Hearts ==== Jumping Jacks
Diamonds ===sit ups
Clubs ==== toe touches
Spades ==== Wall pushups

So for example if you draw a Queen of Hearts you would do 10 jumping jacks if you draw a five of clubs you would do 5 toe touches.



Challenge for today is to draw two different cards during to day and do the exercises for that card.

MOST days I will post 2 challenges and you can pick which one you want to do. I will be posting a new challenge every day. You do not have to do the challenge the day it is posted.On each Challenge I post do it "Today" you have from the time I post the challenge until the end of the month to complete it. On all the challenges I put "this month" on, you can go back and count it if you have done it earlier in the month. Everyone that completes at least 10 days of the challenges will receive a spark goodie.
