LINDAJOYWK, drain, rinse and towel dry chickpeas, roast them in the over at 400 F for 30-40 minutes. Cool and season to your liking. You might want to spray little olive oil to make spices stick. And like ANNEMARGAR said make sure you measure your portions.

I too am a salt loving person. Chickpeas are predominatly a carbohydrate, though they do have some protein in them. I think they would be a healthier option over other salty snacks you can choose. You should be careful to measure them out so you know how many calories you are eating. Remember - just because they are healthier, does not make them calorie free.

Does anyone tried and know if allowed having dry roasted chickpeas for a snack. I admit, I'm salty and crunchy junky and thought this would be good idea for those cravings. Any thoughts?
