Down another pound. Was a bit surprised because my energy levels have been down due to a cold. With the trip coming up, I need to think about eating strategies for traveling and for the month staying with friends. Fortunately, they are both health-conscious and I'll also have free rein in their kitchens!

Just squeaked into the 8th floor today. I got a bit off track at the beginning of the week and only lost about half a pound. Snacking too much on the toasted almonds? I also didn't get as much exercise as I usually do.

So I'm doubling down on good habits this week as I get ready to fly to Florida on the 16th of April.

Oh my! It's been a LONG time since I last posted! I am actually hanging back out in the lower 150's, but I am hoping to get back down into 140ville soon, so decided to start being accountable again. I have not been as active as I needed to be since my husbands back injury. That's a long story. I did blog about that process. He wound up having surgery and is doing much better, but he couldn't be active, so therefore, I stopped being active. He has always been my workout companion. I don't like going alone. emoticon

Anyway, I have joined The Biggest Loser Spring Challenge that starts March 1st and will be part of the Golden Phoenix. I am super ready for something to kick my rear back in gear to get this weight back off. I had actually gotten down to 142 (my lowest point ever) in December of 2016 even though I didn't report it here. I was looking quite trim for me. But after his surgery was when ALL activity ceased and I gradually gained back through last year. Plus, I had a rough year of pneumonia twice and pleurisy (which the doctor wound up putting me on steroids) ugh, I have never taken steroids before. Now I know why people don't like them! I gained 6 lbs on them alone! Those pounds have been stubborn and haven't wanted to come off since. And then the holidays hit and it compounded the problem, LOL

I am good and ready to get back in the swing of things. Even if the weight doesn't just melt away, I am ready to be fit and healthy feeling again if nothing else!

So, here we go!

It's been a LONG time since I've posted and I have gained some weight back, but here I am again hoping to get back in the swing of things and get back on the downward trend. UGH! Where do I EVEN begin?? Back on the Tuesday after the Memorial day holiday my husband picked up a big, plywood box at work to move it over to put a ladder on top of to climb up to adjust a security camera at his work. He felt fine the rest of the day, but when he tried to get out of bed the next morning (which was the first day of his birthday vacation) he hit the floor and couldn't get up. He spend the whole rest of the day on the floor. This was the most comfortable position for him. We did ice/heat alternatively and lots of love and attention. He even ate his meals off the floor because he just couldn't get up. Not to mention using the bathroom meant crawling there! UGH! Anyway, we when this lasted more than 24hrs we went to the dr who diagnosed sciatica and prescribed steroids and ibuprofen. That helped, but did not cure the problem. A week later he was getting an MRI and he was diagnosed with a severely herniated disc. This, of course, has left me toting the load the last few months and not allowed for much me time. This threw me into emotional eating and unfortunately because he hasn't been able to get out and exercise, neither have I, because we always did it together.
I know it's not much of an excuse, but that's where I have been. He has currently had 2 spinal injections which do seem to be making some minor progress and is scheduled for a 3rd on September 13th. IF he doesn't make the improvements that they expect with it they are talking surgery, but time will tell. I have started making some me time again anyway and am trying to get some of the weight I've gained back off.
So, I am 147 currently and am aiming for 140 by December 1st....Here we go!!

I've been hanging out between the lobby and the bottom floors for WEEKS! No offense folks, but I just want to set up camp in the lobby for good. And I'd love to see what the upper floors in the neighboring complex look like, but that will come when it comes, maybe in time with good habits. 7th floor today! Moving in the right direction and pretty fast at that. My tracker says I lost 1 pound but it was more like 3 because I snuck into 150-ville but didn't post it on my tracker. True confessions. Sometimes I don't post every up and down because I know it's just temporary. That's unless I'm in a weight loss challenge where I need to post weekly.

I went out last night, stayed in range, but had a beer with dinner AND a salad from Panera for dinner, which wasn't too caloric, but sodium hits you with those restaurant foods...

Yet, I still weighed in at 139.2!!!! I hopped on the scale with no expectations, half asleep and just figuring it would be a 141-something. But NO!!!

I'm LEAVING 140-VILLE!!!

Well, I weighed in at 145.4, so the damage wasn't as bad as I anticipated, but I am going to have to get down and get serious. I guess that although I haven't been exercising like I should the watching what I was eating was, at least, helping me stay in a maintenance-type mode.

Minnie, I hope you and I both can start getting some Vit. D and stay well. There has been an abundance of illness going around and it's no fun!! Hope you get well and stay well, my friend.

I will weigh-in this Wednesday and see where I stand. I honestly have kinda been avoiding the scale because I haven't been exercising like I need to. I have, once again, been sick. With a head-cold...AGAIN!! UGH, I don't know why I am catching EVERYTHING! I am so frustrated with it. Anyway, I know I need the sunshine to help boost my Vit. D to help my immune system, but the weather hasn't been exactly accomodating either. Seems like it rains every other week or the weather is freezing cold...lol. No excuse, I know, but it's so hard to get motivated when it's cold outside and warm inside....and your all stuffy and congested... emoticon

I keep telling myself I will do better, but something always happens...ugh. So, here I go again. I resolve to do better starting today and it is currently storming outside. Thunder and all. So, I guess tonight when I get off work I will look up a Jessica Smith walking vid and do an indoor walk, because I am refusing to use the weather as an excuse anymore. I will weigh-in wednesday and access the damage of the last couple of weeks of non-weigh-ins and see what I have done to myself...

I brought myself down to the fourth floor today. Again. I hope I can move out of here soon. For Pete's sake!

I'm 4'10.5". A normal BMI for my height tops out at 121.

I'm on the 5th floor. Ugh. One of my resolutions is to weigh myself every three days at least, but I'm just not cutting back enough to get down to the third floor and the second, which would rock my face off. It's evening eating. I must end it.

Well, I am late checking in again. I have been sick with...something...not sure what it was. I am going to say a chest cold. Possibly bronchitis since I am still coughing my lungs up, lol. Anyway, I am feeling better though. I weighed in at 145 though, so that's NOT good, but I guess all the lying around like a slug, but still eating normal hasn't been the best thing for me. HA! I mean that too. I have been a SLUG. I haven't done a thing. My house was a mess. I cleaned it yesterday. It was mainly just cluttered and needed vacuumed and swept. Thank goodness my hubby kept up with the dishes and laundry! He's a good one! emoticon

Yeah, one of my New Year's resolutions is to never skip weighing three days in a row, and I MUST put the new weight in SP. Little hills don't bother me if I know I'm doing the right thing. The only time I avoid the scale is when I KNOW I'm eating too much, so I hope this puts the kibosh on it.

I briefly went up to 149 on January...2? But that was mostly water, I think. I'm back on the 4th floor. Was on the third yesterday, but it's *that* time.

Got my new scale and weighed in at 143.2, so was up just slightly. not gonna change my ticker for that, because I hope to get that back off...I HOPE!! LOL. I also received a free measuring tape with my scale, so that reminded me that I haven't measured in a while. I took those as well and It looks like my waist and hips are down by an inch each since the last time I measured which was back in June!!

Happy New Year!

Hey, AMANDA's back emoticon sounds like you had a great trip and wtg on the loss. I got my new scale a few months back. My old one was analog so I couldn't really see smaller gains or losses so I like that I can do that now.

We're running even again (deja vu!) and I'm sneaking down the stairwell to finally escape from the 140 hi-rise again. I only lost .2 pound this week but that's better than nothing or a gain. The 5% challenge starts today and that's always a boost to my motivation. Also did my measurements and there's been hardly any change so I'm glad of that.

MINNIE, thanks for keeping the light on! I'll have a remote installed because it's going to be a couple of weeks before I get to 130ville. emoticon

Hello Everyone!! Happy New Year!! I am back!! I don't have a clue if I gained any holiday pounds or not. We packed up and left in such a hurry I didn't dash in my mom's bathroom to take a quick check...ARGH! I am sure I probably really didn't want to know anyway! HA! BUT, when I did weigh-in on her scale while there I did receive the pleasant surprise of 142.8!! WOOHOO!! That was such a FANTASTIC surprise after teetering in the 145 range for SO long!! Yippee!!

Anyway, the next checkbox on my to-do list is ~BUY a new scale!! So, I may venture out as early as this evening or possibly tomorrow to purchase one, because I just can't bear to not be able to weigh-in. LOL...although I do fear that my holiday indiscretions have possibly cost me dearly! =(

I love all of you so much and appreciate your cheering me on through the struggles and triumphs of the past year and look forward to spending 2016 with you!

I hope we all make 2016 the year we reach our goals and become the best we can possibly be!
Let's do this!!
