I'm running as fast as I can to stay still. Classes have begun - Wednesday morning - so that means homework every week, and I've taken on another beta read for one of my regulars. Creative writing group is still every other week. I joined an online critique group on FB which started off being every week, three or so people's work to critique, though that has been a bit much for most of us so we will probably be going to twice a month. Add in a couple of days grandson sitting for my daughter when she has proofreading on, and things are quite busy. I'm never going to make the 365 books read, but I didn't expect to.

Think not. Do.

Ok so I am tweaking my some of my New Years resoluting.

First tweak is my reading goal! I've already read 9 books, woohoo! emoticon So since I made my reading goal to be at least 12 books, and I am already pretty much close to that, I upped it to at least 30 books for this year.

Second tweak is completing the 30 - 60 day workout challenge. Since classes have now started I have much less time during the week to hit the gym. So my goal is to make sure the days I am off of school, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, I hit the gym and get in a good workout! I did really well in January. I worked out 24 out of the 31 days, so I am really happy about that!

I'm going to add a couple more myself since I sat down to think it over:

1. Read 75 books this year.
2. Transcribe the second story. I didn't get a chance to do it this year so I'm aiming for 2016.
3. Participate in NaNoWriMo this year. This one will have to wait until November 2016 but it's still a biggie for me.
4. Lose at least half the weight I have gained (reward: haircut).
5. Lose all the weight I gained and hit goal again (new tattoo).
6. Spark and blog more to document my fitness and nutrition journey. I did this the first time I lost the weight and it is nice to be able to go back and reread all about what I did to hit goal. I want to continue to be reminded for when I slip.
7. See at least one concert this year.
8. Make 5 videos this year. My goal was to do four last year and I made more than that.
9. Keep a Good Things Jar again. I've done this for the last three years in a row and it's always fun to be reminded of all the good things that happened throughout the year.

And then I'll do quarterly updates to see how I've been progressing!

That's awesome Doreen! Already ahead of schedule!

Taso I am always down for a concert! lol

I would like to add one more thing to my new years resolution -

I want to enter another race, whether it be a half marathon, or a Spartan race. I did only one half marathon this year. I would have liked to do more but a) it can get a bit pricey, and b) since I wasn't very active this year, I didn't feel confident to do another one. But I would like to do one for 2016!

Well, I've already taken one step towards getting the next book on Amazon and it's not even 2016 yet. The Book Template people are having a 40% off sale on all their stuff, so I've bought a book formatting template and a cover formatting template (which I was going to do, hoping they would be having a sale of some sort). Formatting an e-book is no biggie, but for a print book there are pitfalls, and even more so for a cover, so this was a high priority.

Next thing will be a really good author photo.

I'm actually with the both of you; to use the same resolutions as last year and to reward myself with a haircut and possibly a tattoo as well. Those didn't happen in 2015.

1. Read 75 books this year (of my own choosing, yaaaaaay!)
Yami, you down??

I think that's it for my resolutions currently. Not that I don't have a lot of them..

I might just say I want to do the same as I did this year. Lose another 50 lbs and get another book on Amazon.

Think not. Do.

If you have any, jot them here and check back throughout the year to see how you're progressing!
