Wednesday, December 11th: Download songs/a holiday playlist and dance! Burn some holiday calories!
I totally did this! I compiled a whole playlist with Glee and some Ivoryline and some other obscure emo-rock bands and I wiggled a little, lol!

Thursday, December 12th: Make a gingerbread house and/or cookies! Have some fun decorating it and then take some in to work if you don’t want sweets in the house!
Mmm I can't do this tonight but if it makes you guys feel any better, I did this on Monday after my doctor appointment. I came home and made chocolate chip cookies and they were awesome...

Friday, December 6th: Watch a holiday movie! There’s a list of suggestions to choose from below!
I did this! I downloaded a ton of hallmark and lifetime movies and saw a few over the weekend!

Saturday, December 7th: Decorate a Christmas tree! Doesn’t have to be yours! Just make sure it belongs to someone you know!
We were supposed to go to my bro's house and decorate his aaaaaand...we didn't get to it because we were too busy playing Rock Band, lol! But I'm supposed to go back on Friday so maybe we'll get around to doing it then!


Sunday, December 8th: Catch up on some sleep! It’s healthy!
I did this but mostly because we got back from my bro's late the night before, lol!

Monday, December 9th: Try an outdoor workout! It’s freezing out now so bundle up and be safe!
Nope but I did that today! I've been walking and running around all over and it's been snowing so it's actually been kind of a workout trying to stay upright while moving around. Core strength, baby! LOL!

Tuesday, December 10th: Let out your creative side! Make some holiday crafts and decorations and then put them up in the house or at work!
I...have not done this. I probably won't get much of a chance while at work but maybe I can find something to do later on at home and then spend a few days doing it and then decorate the branch in some places.

Yup yup! All done on this front.

Thursday, December 5th: Take a walk around the neighborhood and check out the holiday lights and decorations! Bring a camera and snap some pictures!

I don't think I'm going to get a chance to do this. After work I need to go home and cook dinner and after I eat I doubt I'm going to have much of a chance to get out before I have to shower and actually crash.

For today and yesterday:

Tuesday, December 3rd: Bake a healthy meal or treat! Enjoy something with peppermint or cinnamon!
I did not get a chance to do this. I was under the weather yesterday and I still kind of am today.

Wednesday, December 4th: Mail out some holiday cards to close family and friends! Or write a letter to Santa! You’re never too old to wish!
I actually have to send some out. I didn't bring them with me to work but I'll see if I can send them out later today.

So my apartment smells LOVELY, I put up the Winter Wonderland wallflower from Bath and Body Works and completely scrubbed down my kitchen floor. Burned a few calories doing it too!

Later today I'm going to see if I can get a walk in with my guy and dog, enjoy the slightly warmer than usual weather. I already did a circuit training workout so I figured adding a walk would complete the outdoor workout part for me.

Happy December, Sparkers! Sorry it's late going up but here's a Christmas challenge for the team! It's also up over at the 6 a Day Challenge Team and I'll post it in a blog in a bit as well!

This almost-month long challenge has something specific set aside for each day leading up to Christmas! Some are fitness-related, some nutrition-related and some are just holiday-related. Now I know we don't all celebrate Christmas so where I could I tried to switch out Christmas for holidays but this countdown does lead specifically up to the day traditionally celebrated as Christmas or the 25th of December. If you'd rather not follow it for Christmas then don't feel the need to! We're doing this for fun!

emoticon Sunday, December 1st: Decorate for the holidays! All that moving and cleaning and lifting and stretching is a great way to kick off this festive month!

emoticon Monday, December 2nd: Try an outdoor workout! Ice skating, sledding, skiing to name a few winter activities but running and walking are outdoor workouts as well! Drag someone along (make sure they WANT to go, don’t just kidnap them) and enjoy the cold weather! Button up though, it’s cold out!

Make a snowman or snow angels! Have a snowball fight! Burn those calories! Just wipe your feet on the mat before going back in. And then have a hot drink to warm you back up!

emoticon Tuesday, December 17th: Read a holiday book/short story! I always have a ton on my To Be Read list just for this time of year!

emoticon Wednesday, December 18th: Dance to some holiday music! Make up a winter playlist to last you through the holidays and into the New Year!
