I know I have been absent. It's been a very busy two weeks here for me with work ending for vacay and then the Halloween party. I was a mess yesterday after coming back from PA. BUT I haven't been neglecting this challenge...much. I've been doing what I can and this is what I've done!

Friday October 18th: Watch a Halloween movie! We’re more than halfway to Halloween!
I did this! I watched Scream.

Saturday October 19th: Enjoy a sinfully unhealthy snack. You can’t expect to stay healthy all day every day so here’s your permission to cheat! Love Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte? Go for it! Love caramel apples?? Yeah, me too! OR…if you absolutely refuse a cheat day, make these sinfully unhealthy snacks in your home and tweak them to make them angelically healthy! You know what you like so get into the holiday spirit and have some fun!
I made a lowfat pumpkin spice latte! I have a bailey's pumpkin spice creamer and I put that in my coffee along with some lowfat whipped cream and cinnamon to top. SO MUCH NOMS...

Sunday October 20th: Get a goodnight’s sleep. Recharge your batteries because Halloween is in a week and a half and you’re almost there!
I needed this. I was starting last week tired already and I kept getting even more tired knowing my vacay was THIS CLOSE and that I just had to get there. The wait was excruciating.

Monday October 21st: Breathe. Seriously. Just breathe. Find a low impact workout and just concentrate through the entire thing. You’re almost there. Think walking, yoga, or pilates.
I walked. I was a mess this whole week and Monday and Tuesday were the hardest days for me.

Tuesday October 22nd: Bake/cook a healthy meal/dessert with pears!
I didn't get a chance to do this at all.

Wednesday October 23rd: Go for a brisk walk in your neighborhood! Check out the Halloween decorations your neighbors have up, take some pics and share them with the team!
I went with the dog in the park in the morning. It was my last day at work for the week and I needed to breathe and forget about it, lol!

Thursday October 24th: Take your fave fitness activity/sport outdoors!
I didn't do this AT ALL. It was my bday and I actually woke up sick (still have a sore throat and cough) so I literally stayed in bed all day fielding birthday texts and in and out of sleep because of cold medicine. BEST DAY EVER, lol!

Friday October 25th: Watch a Halloween movie!
I did this on Thursday actually. I watched Hocus Pocus again, lol!

Saturday October 26th: Go to or throw a Halloween party! Heck, come to mine if you want! I can’t promise it’ll be healthy but you’ll probably have a ton of fun! But dress up or you’re not getting in the front door. If you’ve got nowhere to be and aren’t in the mood to throw a party, take a break. It’s a Saturday! You need rest days too, y’know?
I threw the Halloween party this year. It was awesome! But I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off for the majority of it, refilling drinks, serving jello shots, serving test tube shots, making sure everyone was ok. It was rough on my feet especially because I was wearing boots. Oof.

Sunday October 27th: Tell some ghost/Halloween stories over some apple cider or pumpkin coffee! There’s a suggested list of books below that you can borrow from your local library or download online! Or just scour the internet for some to print out and read aloud! Happy Haunted Reading!
I didn't tell ghost stories but I have been reading from one of H.P. Lovecraft's books. Dude was crazy, I love it. I actually spent this whole day cleaning up and taking down the decorations after the party. Busy busy bee.

Monday October 28th: Bake/cook a healthy meal/dessert with potatoes/sweet potatoes!
Ha, no...I slept and stayed in bed for the majority of yesterday...

Tuesday October 29th: Take your fave fitness activity/sport outdoors! Run in the rain, in the sun, in the cool breeze! Bike ride through the park, take a nature walk or go hiking!
I just finished this! I took Tucker for a longer walk than usual, along the pier and stuff. He ran for the most part once we came down on the pier side so I think tomorrow I'm going to take him that way immediately and try to get my running in too!

Ok hopefully all caught up!

I feel like the last week has sailed by without me getting assignments done. Parents are back home and hubby is recovering from elbow surgery...so now maybe back on track. No party tonight but did TiVo the new Dracula show so will watch that.

Woohoo with the parents! I live very close to mine but I rarely see them. I really should carve out more time to hang with them though.

Monday October 14th: Bake/cook a healthy meal/dessert with apple!
I haven't gotten around to this yet! Now that I'm getting close to the Halloween party I'm bogged down with trying to get last minute stuff and ideas for party treats and stuff.

Tuesday October 15th: Rake some leaves if you have a yard and then stuff them into a Pumpkin trash bag! If you don’t have a yard, take a nature walk to collect some pretty leaves!
I went out Tuesday morning and I don't have a yard here in Brooklyn but I do have a park across the street and the dog already enjoys jumping into the piles more than I do. I didn't collect any leaves because I didn't see any that I really wanted plus it's hard to see in the dark since I take the dog out at 6am.

Wednesday October 16th: Take your fave fitness activity/sport outdoors! It’s getting cooler now so dress properly for the activity!
I did a walk on Wednesday with my bestie, went to Spirit and then walked her home and let me tell you, the breeze was awesome. I haven't been able to get up early this week at all because my schedule is completely off but if I had been able to get up I would've taken my running outside. But since I didn't, I did the next best thing which was my walk!

Thursday October 17th: Go for a brisk walk in your neighborhood! Enjoy the breeze, the sun, and if no one is around, howl at the moon! No one has to know! Except you. And us if you post about it. We won’t tell anyone what a crazy person you are. Promise.
I didn't do this yesterday. I was a late night so I didn't get a chance plus I had a ton of stuff to do in the morning.

Friday October 18th: Watch a Halloween movie! We’re more than halfway to Halloween!
I won't be able to do this today at all nor tomorrow since I work and then have to go see some friends but Sunday it's totally on!

Friday October 11th: Watch a Halloween movie! Air pop some popcorn and snuggle in with a child or significant other!

I watched Sleepy Hollow! I love that movie sooo much. But I watched it yesterday because I woke up with a headache.

Saturday October 12th: Go apple picking! Make a date (with a significant other, a child or your bestie!) and pick some apples to use in your meals and desserts! Watch out for worms!

I didn't go apple picking (I was in PA trying to get the house up and running for the Halloween party) but I did stop by the Produce Junction to pick up tons of fruits and veggies! Especially apples. I love that place so much,

Sunday October 13th: Get a goodnight’s sleep. You have a busy week ahead of you!

I did this, went to sleep nice and early but woke up with a headache yesterday morning which just kind of kept me moving from the computer to the bed and back again.

I have been busy at work, but I have done some of the activities. I watched Carrie the other night with my daughter. Not really a Halloween movie, but we couldn't find Beetlejuice on Netflix. I made something with pumpkin the other day, pumpkin gingerbread.

I didn't go apple picking today, but I bought a bag of apples from a local farm.

Have fun in NC!! I'm off to PA myself tonight, hee!

Thursday October 10th: Go for a brisk walk in your neighborhood! It’s going to start getting cooler so time to pull on those boots and sweaters!

Friday October 11th: Watch a Halloween movie! Air pop some popcorn and snuggle in with a child or significant other!

I always have to walk in my neighborhood to get anywhere near public transportation so this is an easy one but I also walked the dog in the park this morning and all the leaves are crunchy and piled because sanitation or the park employees swept up! The dog had more fun than I did trampling through the piles!
And today I'm off to PA after work so I doubt I'll be awake enough to watch a movie tonight but I have a flash drive full of flicks maybe for tomorrow or Sunday!

I stopped by the supermarket to take a look around but I didn't pick anything up because I wasn't a fan of their produce. I need to go to best buy today so if I get out early enough from there I might take a look at another place but if not then I can save this for this weekend when I head to pa because the produce junction is awesome out there! I LOVE IT! I'm also going to download some music tonight, see if I can put together a playlist. As for dancing to it, probably not at like 9 or 10pm but I can leave it as a playlist to try tomorrow!

That was my pumpkin patch too! LOL! I actually picked some up on Friday because I needed to drop some off with my former boss and she loves Fall and pumpkins as much as I do so that was Friday and then yesterday I watched the movie instead. Watched the Crow. That was such a good movie and just in time for Halloween.

The pumpkin carving is going to be rough for me today. I might need to do that sometime during the week when my guy is back from PR.

Heya welcome to the team!! You do what you can in the time afforded and have fun with it!!

I went for a walk yesterday and took Tuck along with me. I might do the same thing today in taking my fitness activity outside. It was warmer than it has been so the poor guy suffers in the heat because he has two coats of fur. So when I get out of work tonight (at 8pm) I'll take him out for his late walk and we'll hang out and run around a bit in the park. I love that pup so much!

I have a nice pumpkin spice candle in the front hall and I have a small quilted Halloween topper for my front hall chest that I made from scraps that came from our local thrift shop. I have a fall tablecloth on the dining room table. I didn't get a walk in yesterday, but perhaps I will take two today. One this morning and one tonight.

Peace and Many Blessings!

Good job! I did some stuff yesterday but I think I'm really going to bust my butt this weekend cleaning and dusting, really make it a big thing! I have a three day weekend so I might as well take advantage!

Today's challenge is to go for a brisk walk in your neighborhood! I'm going to do this when I get out of work today! My bf left for Puerto Rico this morning which leaves me in charge of my dog Tucker all by my lonesome! He and I are gonna take a walk in the park later when I get home from work, woohoo!

This is a post I put up in the 6 a Day team and I figured I should post it here as well for you guys to follow if you're up for it! This team basically has a lot of the same members as the 6 a Day but for those who don't follow the other team, maybe you will want to do this yourself!

Beginning October 1st, 2013, we're doing the Countdown to Halloween Challenge! It's not really a challenge so much as a to-do list to celebrate and get the most out of the upcoming spooky holiday and to enjoy the Fall season as it comes upon us full bloom! So check it out below, post about it if you decide to do the challenge for the day, post some pics and let's all get into the spooky holiday spirit! If you decide to join in but can't do the specific challenge for the day, no problem! Switch it out, switch them around, do what you can but most importantly have a great time!

Thursday October 17th: Go for a brisk walk in your neighborhood! Enjoy the breeze, the sun, and if no one is around, howl at the moon! No one has to know! Except you. And us if you post about it. We won’t tell anyone what a crazy person you are. Promise.

Friday October 18th: Watch a Halloween movie! We’re more than halfway to Halloween!

Sunday October 20th: Get a goodnight’s sleep. Recharge your batteries because Halloween is in a week and a half and you’re almost there!

Monday October 21st: Breathe. Seriously. Just breathe. Find a low impact workout and just concentrate through the entire thing. You’re almost there. Think walking, yoga, or pilates.

Friday October 25th: Watch a Halloween movie!

Sunday October 27th: Tell some ghost/Halloween stories over some apple cider or pumpkin coffee! There’s a suggested list of books below that you can borrow from your local library or download online! Or just scour the internet for some to print out and read aloud! Happy Haunted Reading!

Monday October 28th: Bake/cook a healthy meal/dessert with potatoes/sweet potatoes!

Wednesday October 30th: Get a goodnight’s sleep. Halloween is always full of fun, fun, fun and you need to be well rested for it, whether you’re taking the kids out trick-or-treating or going trick-or-treating yourself! We know you exist, Adult Trick-or-Treaters. You’re my kind of people. Save us some candy.

Thursday October 31st: Happy Halloween! You made it through the activities list/challenge! Woohoo! Take a walk around your neighborhood and check out the costumes!
