Day 13 - Oops, I forgot to eat!

Due to busyness from returning from holiday, I did days 11-15 all the same day = August 24 in my written journal and am now transferring them to Spark team posts.

-Write down the times of the day when you plan to eat your meals or snacks

Breakfast - 11am
Lunch - 12:30
Kombucha snack - 6 pm
Supper - 6:30

- Make and effort to eat withing 30 minutes of these scheduled times. At the end of the day, review your eating patterns to see how well you did. Describe this in the space below.

I did well with this. It helps that I have a rural lifestyle, so work from home and DH is on time like a clock for lunch and supper. Being Italian, he has coffee and a yogurt or a croissant for breakfast, so I don't have to make him breakfast.

If you tend to skip meals or forget to eat, set an alarm to remind yourself when it's time to fuel.

DH is my alarm clock for having meals consistently on time. He is always on time for meals.
I for sure never forget to eat, I rarely skip meals unless I have an unexpected change in schedule.

Where you end up is more important than how fast or where you start out.
- Improved fitness and nutrition, energy and confidence are my rewards.
It is our choices...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.
A PH (personal high) is the main goal, a PB is the sometime icing on the cake.
Never underestimate the inevitability of gradualness.
Sopra le nebbie delle valle e le vicende della vita sorge una promessa di luce e serenita.

Day#13 Oops I forgot to eat!

Well I am making a definite effort to eat something nutritious for breakfast and not forget it. I do not have any appetite at that time. I have been making me a protein shake and with a push I get it drunk. Lunch is the meal I work on striving to eat my 5 freggies. Healthy soup or delicious salad with no dressing.I also enjoy getting my protein eaten. Night meal is eating what my tracker is informing me I am lacking. Skipping meals is never a blessing.

DAY #13 OOPS, I FORGOT TO EAT!

You have got to be kidding me! I never FORGET, but there are some days that I miss lunch due to poor planning when I am having a very busy day. Usually I eat breakfast around 8:30 a.m. then I like to eat lunch around 1:00 p.m. and finally we have dinner around 6:00 p.m.

I am not exactly sure how to overcome this dilemma. On a very busy day I may be away from home at "lunch time". I don't plan it this way. I usually intend to get back home in time for lunch. However, there are times when the time gets away from me and I miss that opening.

I know there are plenty of recommendations out there about carrying a piece of fruit of a nutrition bar in your purse on days like this. If I recognized the potential problem, I would do that.

I need to look ahead further on the days I walk out the door for errands so that I can plan better!

I donít forget to eat! Sometimes I donít have a snack to eat on the way home from work which makes me tempted to get ice cream! I am making sure I fill my water bottle before I walk out the door from work and trying to pack a snack. If I am really hungry at lunch I sometimes eat it then
So strategy pack enough lunch and a snack for the way home!

Lately I've been skipping breakfast because I'm not really all that hungry at that time. I enjoy a big mug of coffee and cream. I eat lunch around noon or a bit later. Then dinner can be anytime past 7. I've tried the "no eating at night" route, and what has usually happened is that's what I *think* I'm going to do, then I end up snacking anyway on calories I've not planned for. I will have planned the day nutrition-wise, and done it all just right --but then there's that long expanse of time stretching out till bed time.

I've been planning ahead on the nutrition tracker exactly what I'm going to eat for the whole day. (This is because of a challenge on another team...lol) I find this to be extremely helpful. I know I'm going to want to snack at night, so my evening snacks are actually finishing out what I need nutrient-wise.

I never really forget to eat, but there are days when schedules get mixed up, and it has not been convenient to eat lunch at my normal time. I move past my hunger pangs, but still at the back of my mind I'm aware that things aren't happening as usual. Those are the days I'm most likely to overcompensate when I do get around to eating -- almost like a "reward" for my sacrifice. These are the times where it's so important to plan ahead and not have to do too much thinking when it comes time to start pulling food out of the fridge.

The only time I "forget" to eat is if I'm unable to at the time. It's not really forgetting, it's just not getting a time to. Otherwise, I don't really forget to eat.

Forget to eat? I only wish...LOL! I used to eat at the crack of dawn and be ravenous long before lunch time and then sometimes overeat. Now I drink hot beverages in the morning and keep busy and eat at 8 or 8:30. I tell myself "hunger is not an emergency". I noticed with my smaller eating window I do not get hungry between meals but in the middle of the night I can wake up quite hungry but I never eat. I try to tell myself okay body use those energy stores in my tummy, thighs... emoticon

Day 13 - Oops I forgot to eat! - I can't imagine skipping a meal or forgetting to eat. I'm eating breakfast at 9a today, then lunch with a friend at noon, then dinner at 6p.

One big change I'm making because of this team is to not spread out my breakfast or lunch food. Thank you team members who suggested this!
Linda's book said to not go low on earlier meals if there is a reason to eat higher later in the day. I'm complying with that on Friday when I have a meeting with dinner. I'm not sure what they are having, but plan to eat a small portion and skip dessert.

Day #13 Opps I Forgot to Eat

There are few times in my life that I have said "I forgot" to eat.
There are times Iím out and donít want what is easy to get so do need to carry a snack.

Bottom line I know I need regular meals stretched throughout the day because of passing out.
Iíve developed a condition diagnosed as Syncope episodes (pass out for no known reason) and not eating would make it worse.

Right now, being retired, it is more important to have a plan and stick to it so that I donít find myself grazing all day!

I can't say I ever miss a meal - I look forward to my meals too much!

Cutting back on food in order to 'save calories' is a mistake too - you can end up being too hungry and then losing control.

Linda talks about this in one of her holiday tips blogs
www.weightlossjoy.com/holida
y-tip-2-do
nt-skip-meals/

I'm very food-centric! As soon as I've had breakfast I'm thinking about lunch - it gives me a nice, safe feeling to know that my lunch is waiting in the lunch-box, or that I have everything I need to make lunch if I'm at home.

Although my eating is much more controlled now - I think I'm still a very emotional eater! I love to eat my food - they are comforting, satisfying, nurturing, reassuring, soothing......... all those things.

Day 13 Oops, I forgot to eat! u.nu/cx2i Linda's Blog u.nu/9ad6
I delay meals and eat when hungry - keeping active and distracted from food.
When I get home...I stay out of my kitchen
~ First drink water wait 30min before meals (be sure it's hunger and not thirst)
~ Next, prepare raw greens or cook broccoli and cabbage with ghee or evoo

Progress: I prefer to chew whole foods and stopped buying protein drinks.

I've never had a problem with skipping or forgetting meals. In fact I have the opposite problem. I like to eat and I look forward to the next meal.

I usually eat breakfast around 9am, lunch around 1pm, dinner around 5pm and an evening snack around 9pm. Itís kinda weird but if I eat breakfast right away when I get up I feel nauseous, wonder why that is? I have to wait until Iíve been up for awhile before I eat. My mom says Iíve been that way since I was little. She had to get me up earlier so I had time to play for awhile before breakfast. Those times generally work well for me. If any meal gets off schedule itís usually lunch due to things going on during the day. This morning we went to McDonalds and got breakfast for us and my mom and went to visit her. We didnít get home until around 3pm. We got lunch at Taco Bell on the way home. It would have been a better choice to wait until I got home to eat something I already have but I was hungry and from personal experience I know how that goes. I got a chalupa cravings box. Usually I would have eaten the whole thing but I exercised restraint today. I ate the chalupa and the taco for lunch and saved the nachos and the burrito for dinner.

Day # 13 Oops, I Forgot To Eat - Take 2

I am getting better at this.

There was a time when I routinely skipped lunch. This is not always the case now. Sometimes I eat my breakfast late and then, like Babs, I am not hungry when it comes time for lunch. When this happens I usually have a snack of cheese or fruit around 3 p.m. so that I am not starving by the time dinner is ready.

There are times when I am busy at "lunch time". Like today, for example, I will be at the salon getting my hair done from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. My plan is to eat lunch when I get home. I am wondering how this is going to effect my appetite for dinner. I'm thinking smaller portions may be in order today.

Linda gives an example that I am sometimes guilty of. If I have a special evening of dinner with friends which will include higher calories or our upcoming Thanksgiving dinner, I do scrimp on breakfast and skip lunch in order to save calories for later. Linda reminds us that this will not trick our bodies and that it will store a portion of those extra dinner calories as fat. Good to remember this!

Maribeth - I always enjoy the links you post! emoticon

Sometimes I DO forget to eat breakfast. Other times of the day I'm well aware of mealtimes, even if I'm not able to stop and eat when I feel hungry. I don't like to get so hungry that I can't muster the mental energy to prepare a good meal for myself.... so hungry that I grab whatever I can get my hands on - like chips or peanuts or crackers. It really doesn't take that long to make something healthy and satisfying. I like to make several servings at once for DH and I and that does make it quite a bit easier to throw something in the microwave. I'll usually cook all 4 of the vegan Boca burgers in a skillet with sliced onion and mushrooms, then store them. My latest that I'm loving is a whole wheat tortilla, slice of Meunster cheese, half cup of greens (spinach or turnip lately) and a boca crumbled on top, and green salsa. SO good, and quick to put together. If I had to cook the burger every time it would not be so quick and easy.

Forgot to eat?

NOT going to happen...in fact there was a time when I would forget that I had eaten so I could eat again! LOL

I don't eat on tight schedule now but I do eat my three meals a day and snacks or treats on weekends. Later I haven't been eating breakfast as early as usual and I know I do better if I eat soon after I get out of bed. I'm working on that though.

As a rule this isn't one of my problems either. However, what does happen sometimes is that I eat breakfast late. Then I don't want lunch, but I'm hungry a little earlier than dinnertime. If I eat then, it throws everything out of whack. I need to pay closer attention I guess to times. However, one thing I have tried to do to remedy this is keep string cheese on hand - one of those will not really upset things but will fill the empty spot - and grapes. Easy. Not messy and they too will fill that hollow spot before dinner.

Mine isn't so much I forgot to eat, it's I'm so busy at work I don't get a chance and then end up scarfing down junk from the shared candy drawer or cookies.

One of my plans to remedy this is to purchase a used mini-fridge, like kids have in dorm rooms at College, that will fit under my desk to stock with bottled water, fruit, yogurt and other healthier options. I have asked Tom to be in charge of finding one as he always finds such great deals on Craigs List or Facebook marketplace.

Along with a pair of noise cancelling headphones I should be able to close my office door for a short lunch, even if it's just 15 minutes and stay on a healthier track.

Day 13 óOops I forgot to eat
This is not a problem for me at this point in my life.
It is more likely that the problem is not having set times but sometimes having food all day.

Day 13, Oops, I forgot to eat! I don't ever forget to eat anymore, although I did when I was much younger and had crazy job hours. If my body gets too hungry, I get a headache or nauseated. I plan my snacks and meals to have at regular intervals. It's working for me.

I can say that FORGETTING is NEVER one of the reasons I don't have a meal. I am doing a lot better at this. I totally recognize now that if I skip a meal I will be sorry later because I will be so darn hungry.

I always eat breakfast, but rarely do I do this first thing in the morning and so many times my breakfast is not until 10 a.m. like it was today. When my breakfast is late I skip official "lunch", but I always have a health afternoon snack then around 2-3 p.m. which holds me over until 6 p.m. dinner.

Many of my weekends have been real killers as far as social events and calorie intake goes. This is where I run into problems - trying to figure out where to conserve my calories when there are so many of them!

I usually have 3 meals spaced out through the day -- with an afternoon snack around 3 p.m.

Occasionally, though, breakfast gets either forgotten as I jump into the day's activities after my cup of coffee ---- or I run out of time to sit down and eat at home when I have to be somewhere -- such as an early class at the Y.

I have a couple things I can grab out of the fridge for these occasions (when I remember to do it). I usually do better on eating for the whole day when I've had breakfast, so what I've started doing on the evening before my early days is to figure out what I'm having for breakfast the following day. Sometimes it's a smoothie that doesn't take too much prep, or sometimes it's like what I had this a.m. -- Apple slices with a cheese stick enjoyed while doing the 20 minute drive into town. It set me up nicely for the 8 a.m. spin class...and I got to take my time enjoying it rather than trying to hurry up and eat while getting ready to go.

Right now I am coming off a long binge cycle ... so eating three meals a day is imperative.

A year ago I switched to eating three meals a day and NO snacks. This cut down my "hunger" feelings.

I have had days in the past where I "forgot" to eat because I was sooo engrossed with what I was doing that was "soul" filling.

I struggle when I stray from my schedule too .. on the weekends, I try to "catch up" on sleep ... where I eat breakfast near lunch time, and rest of the day is off kilter. This will be a tough one to change.

I rarely forget! Not only am I a die hard clock watcher (one disadvantage of having a wrist watch step tracker) but my tummy starts barking like a trained seal when it's time to eat On an active day that often happens around 10 AM. On the rare occasions where I get so busy and can not or do not pay attention, I still have to be very careful to not overeat when I do eat.

I keep healthy snacks, water and tea handy for the mid morning or other times rescue. I continue to remind myself a helpful mantra that "hunger is not an emergency."

This 'sort of' happens sometimes on my days off. I'm such a creature of habit. On Thurs/Fri when I'm not at the office, I tend to eat breakfast later. That means, for the most part, I don't eat lunch because I'm really not hungry. So many times I have 2 meals vs 3 meals. I realize that isn't good. What I have done recently is buy those snack packs in the deli section that has turkey or ham, with cheese and dried cranberries/nuts. It satisfies and still fuels my body.

Day #13 Opps I Forgot to Eat
There are few times in my life that I have said "I forgot" to eat.
Bottom line I know I need regular meals stretched throughout the day.

For me itís important to have a plan and stick to it so that I donít find myself munching all day!
The hard part is being satisfied with amounts.

I have trouble with this one. Unless I am at work, and have a scheduled lunch time I do not like to set times for my meals. I like to eat when my body tells me to eat. Sometimes I skip meals because I am busy, but I do not forget to eat.

I have not been snacking. When I snack I see the scale go up. If I have a small meal... some would call it a snack I do not have a second meal. I say I ate that, so I already already ate my meal. This is new, and works great! (for me anyway)

If I wait too long to eat I get irritable and my hands shake. I rarely have that happen now.

Last time I responded on this one was the day after I actually "had" been so busy I forgot to eat.

Now I keep individually wrapped packages of peanut butter crackers in my desk for those crazy busy days when lunch just doesn't happen.

My first sign of being overly hungry is the beginnings of a headache. Now I am more tuned in to knowing that and will try to avoid it.

I use to think that people you "forgot" to eat were ... nuts. Now I find that I too can forget to eat.

The better I eat ... the better I am sustained during the day.

Oops, I forgot to post! LOL Not really...Iíve had four really busy days, and now I am going to catch up on the days I missed - starting today and then working my way back to Day 11. I have read all the lessons before.

This one is an easy one for me. I rarely forget to eat in this stage of my life - retirement. I may have a lighter meal for breakfast or lunch if I have somewhere to go during a meal time or know I will have a larger amount of calories at a restaurant (for instance a cup of yogurt or a protein shake for breakfast.) but most every day I have three square meals at about the same time each day.

Well, there you go! Wasn't Susan (FOCUSONME)'s example just perfect for today's lesson? It can happen to any of us.

I very rarely forget to eat; I have breakfast, lunch, dinner planned every day. But, like today, I can sometimes delay my meal - today I decided to go down to town and visit the library and get my food shopping done before I had what I'd planned for breakfast - which became brunch!

I had the freedom to do that today because I was not at work, so I could be flexible, knowing I was not going to be stuck without food!

Because I usually eat three meals a day, no snacks, I am nicely hungry at meal-times, however, I do also find that if meal time comes around and I'm not particularly hungry, it's better for me to eat anyway - otherwise I risk being hungry a the wrong time later (like just before going to bed!)

Planning regular, well-balanced meals, has been key to my success in losing and maintaining weight.

Well, that never happens to me. Even if I am very busy, my stomach will fuss at me. If I am not prepared, I will make wrong choices Ė grab a filler snack. Having healthy snacks prepared and close at hand are the best thing for me to do. If I donít have time to sit and eat, I can grab one of those. At this stage in my life I donít really encounter any of those ďOops, I forgot to eatĒ moments.
During the work week, my meal schedule is a little earlier than weekends. I have breakfast around 7-7:30; snack at 9:30; lunch at 12:30; snack at 2:30-3:30; supper 6:00.
Weekend schedule fluctuates, depending on what is going on. Generally, it is the same pacing, by maybe an hour later.

Day 13, OOPS, I forgot to eat!

Not me! I try to eat three meals a day every day. If I miss a meal it isn't because I forgot to eat...rather that I forgot to plan. I know that because I actually do miss the meal and think about the fact that I'm missing a meal because I'm hungry...thus, no forgetting.

This is going to be quick. Gotta get to the breakfast buffet before it closes. Then off for another fun day with my DD.

I have been guilty of skipping meals and also trying to save calories for a special occasion. However, I understand more and more the importance of NOT doing this so I do make more of an effort now to not let this happen.

Hope everyone has a Sparkling day!

Ironically this was me yesterday. I had a meeting yesterday morning and since it was my 10 hour day (we work longer on Fridays) I thought I would go out for lunch instead of bringing it from home.

Then I stopped at my manager's office after the meeting (for a minute) and ended up staying there to work on computer based classes and before I realized it was almost 5 PM!

I scarfed down two pieces of coffee cake on the way to my own branch to hold me over til dinner.

I learned from this. I can pack my lunch and if I decide to go out instead, the lunch I packed will be there for the next day. This is a much better option than not having lunch at all.

Day 13, I forgot to eat

I used to forget to eat but it was a long time ago. Life was much busier then too. I used to use it as an excuse to eat way too much because either, "I forgot to eat earlier" or "I might forget to eat later"! Hah, well that is where poor planning gets you! Now I make sure to eat 3 meals a day and to only eat planned snacks. It is working; I am a healthier person.

I am re-posting this confession as a reminder to myself!!

'I'm ok and don't under-eat these days. However, when I was a full-time classroom teacher, my habits were shocking and I'd find myself at the end of the School day, hollow and having posted down a choc-coated cookie and very little else all day. I weighed 112lbs but it wasn't a very healthy 112lbs.

Nowadays, I carry healthy snacks when I'm on site and when I travel.'

Day #13 Opps I Forgot to Eat

There are few times in my life that I have said "I forgot" to eat but there have been times in the past that I experimented with eating, not eating, eating early, eating later, etc.
Bottom line I need regular meals stretched throughout the day.

Most of the time I am a very good planner except right now we are on vacation so I'm dealing with someone else's plans. I will do my best!

My charting has been working. I have it on my desk right in front of me. I think it helped me eat less last evening.

I still grabbed some food late in the evening. emoticon But I am becoming much more aware emoticon of doing that. I consciously made a choice to eat it anyway. Next time maybe I can force myself to do a delaying tactic like setting the timer.

Um... I never forget to eat! But there were still a couple of tricks in today's reading that helped me.

1. Plan food for the evening when I tend to have more cravings. PLAN. PLAN. PLAN.
I have heard , "If you don't plan to succeed you are planning to fail." powerful statement.
As of yet, I have not been planning ahead at all--well maybe a little. I bought watermelon and cantaloupe last week. I am using these in the evenings instead of the cheddar cheese or other "bad" things.

2. NO CHOICE. This is an idea that came from another book on weight loss. Set my mind to NO CHOICE when cravings hit or temptations are in front of me. It is a very good mind set for staying on track.

I never forget to eat.

As I've posted before, there might be an odd occasion when some impromptu eating event happens during the day which throws my evening meal plans out - but those are VERY rare events, and I know how to handle them better now.

I don't have a problem with timing now either. I plan three meals a day. Once upon a time I'd know exactly what I was going to eat at my next meal and be looking forward to it until I got to it! These days I quite often actually forget what I've planned to eat for my next meal. But, it's OK, because I've planned it, or packed it - I know it will be there.

This is a huge change for me, because I am gradually becoming less food-centric. To actually have a moment in the day when someone asks me what I'm having for tea - and I can't remember! - is amazing. I used to fantasize about my next meal pretty much as soon as I'd finished the one I was eating!

Also, it's no longer a major emergency if I have to delay my lunch or dinner - another hour of waiting to eat no longer throws me into an emergency eating situation.

The key key to my success with this is PLANNING. If, for some reason, I don't plan - then the chaos can re-emerge!

"Oops, I forgot to eat!"
I seldom do this! I say seldom because I seem to recall once or twice realizing that it was 2:00 and I hadn't had lunch yet, but that's pretty rare! And even then, I didn't miss lunch, so I guess I can really say I never do this!

I do have to have three meals a day, whether a small "snack" meal or a regular meal or I run out of energy. On days when I have little appetite or things are "off" with me, I'll settle on light snacks instead of a meal. But I have always valued and needed my three meals!

I never "forget" to eat, but I do sometimes delay eating because I'm not hungry and sometimes ends up just having two meals instead of three, or end up eating really late at night because I simply did not feel hungry at dinner time. In fact I didn't feel hungry today at lunch but I'm famished now and its not yet dinner time!

I don't forget to eat either, and I am also now a 3-meals-a-day person. This means that I do actually look forward to my meals as I get hungry. However, especially at work, I have to be mindful of delaying my meal-time to 'just get this done' - you know, like 'I'll just do this, then I'll stop for lunch' and it can get to 1.30pm when I'd intended to stop at 12.30.

I have to admit I use to holler with laughter on this lesson.

But now ... I do forget to eat sometimes. I don't skip meals ... but I will look up and dang if it isn't 2 o'clock and I haven't had lunch. Or dang ... it's 7:30 we haven't had supper.

I am eating 3 meals a day and find that my hunger level has reduced.

Oops I Forgot to Eat!

Like Cat, I used to laugh when I got to this page in the lessons. Not likely I will forget that!

I used to be planning what I would eat next before I finished the meal I was eating.
Now I have my meals planned and logged each morning (or the night before) so I can eat my meals, focus on them and enjoy them. Then I move on with my day.
What I need now is to find the fine line between nutrition, how much my body needs to be healthy, and a way to get myself to keep moving throughout the day to use up those calories I consume!

There are people who believe in "one meal a day" or liquid fasts, etc. but that is not the journey for me.

I am on blood pressure medication. It would be too risky to purposely forget to eat. On days where lunch time is delayed I can feel myself getting "spacey" so now I know to keep a healthy snack that I can get into me quickly.

My old employees used to joke about my "emergency banana" but it's saved me multiple times.

Day 13: Oops, I forgot to eat!
something I never do it more I think I don't need to. you're famished, so you eat whatever you can get your hands on quickly. Often that ends up being a candy bar or a small handful of nuts from your desk drawer. So much for getting quality fuel!Skipping meals might sound like an easy way to lose weight. But it rarely works because your body outsmarts your plan. Whenever you go long periods without fuel, your body protects itself by hoarding some of the calories for later use. You also risk getting a late-day energy slump, which leads to even more eating struggles.
Saving up calories
When you under eat during the day, your body believes it may not get enough food, so it conserves what does come in. Even if You eat the same total number of calories as usual, your body will store a portion of that large evening meal, causing you to gain weight. if you routinely follow a one-meal-a-day plan, your body will train itself to get by on a small amount of food. Eventually, it adapts so well to the low-calorie level that it refuses to lose weight.
You have no choice
Just make it a habit to tell yourself, "I have no choice." By convincing yourself that skipping meals is not an option, you'll work a lot harder to routinely take care of your fuel needs.
Write down the times of the day when you plan to eat your meals and snacks. hmmm I haven't done this one maybe I have to do that tomorrow as work today. lunch is usually around 1230 pm
Make an effort to eat within 30 minutes of these scheduled times. At the end of the day, review your eating patterns to see how well you did.
If you tend to skip meals or forget to eat, set an alarm to remind yourself when it's time for fuel. good idea if home.
I never "forget" to eat, but many times I cannot eat because of circumstances, just yesterday
Getting three planned meals is best for me but I do need to be better about having healthy snacks and spacing food more evenly during my day. so I do need to plan timing better esp. on days off.

At work my day can get pretty crazy. I don't forget to eat, but sometimes I get too busy to eat. Sometimes lunch does not happen until 2:00.

Day 13 Ė Oops, I forgot to eat!
Not likely!

I have a fairly regular schedule for meals on weekdays and another for weekends. Weekdays I always eat breakfast although not until I have been up for a couple of hours between 9 to 10; I just donít seem to digest food well until then. Lunch is around 1 to 2 in the afternoon and dinner around 6 to 7 in the evening. Itís not often that I canít keep to this schedule, only if an emergency comes up.
Weekends are a little less structured. Sometimes with brunch, a snack and then dinner.

No, I don't forget to eat either!

I think one of the points she makes is that there is nothing to be gained by withholding food from yourself/skipping a meal (she gives the example of 'saving up calories' for an evening meal) - your metabolism will function better if you have regular meals, not a feast & famine sort of regime. Also, although we may not do this, I know there are plenty of people who 'forget' to eat - they get busy, then get over-hungry and are prone to grabbing at non-nutritious foods because they're 'starving'. We are more likely to be able to stick to our diet plans if we eat regular meals.
