Only 100 people which was nice. Arrived 45 minutes before the start, no line to register, paid my $6, and pinned on my bib. Love low key events!

I found another person at my pace and we chatted the whole way. Good thing as the course was kinda boring - basically flat. On the other hand, the weather was perfect.

That sounds like a cool course! If I was anywhere near MD, I'd definitely do it.

I'm thinking about doing the NCR HM this Sunday. It's only $6 on race day morning. I figure even if the race sucks, I'll probably eat $6 of food at the end so it won't be a total loss of my time. But they've been doing this race for 10 years so they must know what they're doing by now, right?

If you're interested, the race is just north of Baltimore, MD. And NCR stands for North Central Rail trail. It's on an old railroad bed. The elevation profile looks surprisingly hilly for a railroad. But elevation charts can be deceptive.
