I just came back from vacation and I really felt I needed the scale. It's so hard to eat right everyday and I did journal 4 days out of the 7. I'm almost back to where I was in weight before I left, but it's taken me all week.

Keep saying I can do this!

I don't understand weighing in every day. In fact I haven't weighed in since I joined SP. I'm afraid cause I haven't been able to get a routine. I'm starting to feel I'm facing a no win battle. But I really appreciate the motivation section.

Keep on pushin. Can't stop now.

I agree with Michael, theres never a day that I can trust what I ate didn't make me gain weight. The scale is a way to keep me in line.

I weigh twice a week. On Sunday I put my weight in, and on Wednesday I weigh to see if I am gaining or losing during the week. Sometimes I drink more water in a day to see if being fully hydrated makes a difference in the scales the next morning.

Once a week..more than that seems pointless. My cheats of today will show up tomo, but it will keep me honest.

First thing every morning - naturally when the number is lower - great - if not check back on the food journal as to what I ate in the last three days. Make some adjustments if needed.

Twice a day, first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

The night reading tells me how I did that day and give me an idea what the morning reading will be, usually 2 lbs less than night.

once i started losing weight (which i could not believe and keep waiting for the dial to move back up), i started weighing myself daily as soon as i get up in the morning and before i put on my bathingsuit and head out to the pool. now that i have lost 23 of my needed 35 pounds, it keeps me motivated and helped me get through the holidays. i have been here before and when i stopped paying attention to the scale and stopped tracking my food, i got into trouble and gained back all my weight. i would like to hope that continuing this will keep me on track. _

I weigh in daily. The reason is I am a statistics junkie. Hitting the scale everyday will show me trends in my weight loss. If I weigh in once a week or month it might be on a bad day when I am retaining water. When I weigh in daily I can see if I am on an up day or if I just dropped as well as if my drop in weight is a one day thing or for real. I know it sounds nutty but it works for me.

I weigh myself every morning. The Holidays were not to bad on my weight. I gained three pounds. I expected them to come off already. However, I will kick them off with more exercise and clean eating. My sugar cravings has to go emoticon

I weigh in every morning before getting dressed. It keeps me more grounded and less depressed if I had a bad day the day before. Sometimes I am afraid to go on the scale and then when I see that I didn't gain, or hardly much at all, it gives me the resolve to do well that day. My imaginings can be worse than reality. Also, if I have had Chinese food and gain 3 lbs in one day I can be assured that it is water weight and not to despair:)

I just joined today, so my ticker shows 0 pounds lost. I have lost 25 already though....

Officially record on my weekly WI day every Sat. morning. Sometimes I do a "spot check" on Wed. to see if I need to adjust my eating/exercise to get a loss on Sat.

Scales are cheap. For me it helps keep me on track. When I've binged and don't feel good about it, I need to know the consequences. So I weigh every morning as soon as I get up.

Daily. Always have, even when I wasn't keeping track of anything else - Just part of the morning ritual. It didn't keep me from putting the weight on. And it's not taking the weight off, but it's become a habit. Now I feel so victorious as I near goal weight.

I think that I am going to start weighing on the first of every month, starting Dec. 1st. I don't know, I think that this will be very motivational for me and will help me see a clearer picture for over the long term.

Lately about once a month or sometimes 2 week intervals (because I have been bad). When I am trying to keep on a losing course and control my eating better, I will weight anywhere from daily to once a week. I haven't really been gaining, but I'm at the point where I started and keep staying there.

I weight in once a week most of the time, once a month sometimes, never during the summer and everyday when I've had a lot of salt and want to see if I've flushed it out. O use the scale more to monitor my salt then anything else.

During my losing phase, I weighed in once a week. Now I go much longer between weigh ins. So far in 2013 I've weighed in Feb, July, Oct. and I'm going to weigh one more time this year on Dec 5th.
