Balance Board ?

Thanks for the info Mommy_T. My replacement board came today. I was quoted $55 without negotiation; with tax I paid $60.50. The turn-around time was 11 days.

If you had just bought it and it's not working right, you should contact Nintendo while it's still in warranty so you can get it shipped and replaced for free.

my balance board dosent work half the time had it sence the wii firs came out and the wii board.

I think it's just a weakness in the plastic ...I'm not sure why though.

I don't think the cover stops the problem. I had a cover on mine, though for me the intent was just to help keep the board clean, and I still had mine break.

I wonder if using one of those covers would help prevent the problem.

Oops, Hubby says you have to negotiate to get it to $55 from $80 by acting as though you don't want to pay $80. Also, use the argument that it's a well known/documented problem.

I've got that left heel area problem now. Who gave you the repair estimate?

And there's a "weakness" in the left heel area--more give in that area than other spots on the board. It's cracked, even though it may be very fine lines as though drawn by a mechanical pencil. If you're out of warranty, it's still cheaper to pay for a repair than a new one. Likely, you'll get a new, or newly refurred one anyway.

The problem is that when it cracks above the battery area--it pinches a wire or something causing the board to momentarily loose power. Unfortunately, it's a somewhat common issue--it has been discussed here before and I've had/currently have this problem. We were quoted $55 for the repair, but that's been...probably close to 2 years ago. We've just never got around to fixing it.

Changed the batteries, used an air thingy to blow it out and reset the whole thing. It has been working good for about 2 weeks now, but I really haven't used it for much lately.

Maybe it needs the battery changed? When did you get it? I suppose, depending on how old it is, all electronics wear out eventually.

My Balance board just stops in the middle of an exercise. It gives me a message that it needs to be restarted. Anyone know what it could be?
