Wow, I love OG's dressing...I will have to look for it!!

I have been mainly using fat free italian and adding radishes, onions, peppers, tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, broccoli, any veggie we have to ours to bulk it up!! I have made a mayo based pasta salad once, but I used light mayo and instead of 1 cup mayo, I mixed 3/4 cup mayo and 1/4 cup water and it turned out pretty good :)

I found Olive Garden's salad dressing at Walmart and didn't notice right off that it was Light and has 30 calories for 2 Tb. I have to get more. I RARELY and I mean RRRRARELY find a Light or Fat Free dressing that I like so I was SO excited when I realized this because it's SO good. I used it on pasta salad and it was SO good.

I like putting tomatoes and cumcumbers in mine

I still make tuna salad. I can now find whole wheat shells, lots of celery, onion, and lots of frozen peas, with light miracle whip and milk.

I'm going to try some of these ideas when it gets hot.

I found a recipe on face book for a 'skinny broccoli salad' and I'm going to try that one, it looks delicious. And if it is as good as it looks, I'll probably make and take that to our family reunion pot luck meal next month.

Did you want us to write our salad recipes on this thread??

I make a low fat ranch dressing with cottage cheese, water, and ranch seasoning. I put that on whole grain or low carb pasta with broccoli, cauliflower, grape tomatoes, low fat cheese, and sometimes bacon bits. Carrot shreds are good in this too.

More veggies than pasta is the key to mine!

Lots of steamed broccoli, carrot "coins", zucchini and cherry tomatoes (I add the veggies to the boiling pasta water for the last two minutes....this saves using two pots, but I have to use a BIG pot to accomodate all my veggies) The cherry tomatoes get added right before I drain the pot just to warm them up, thin the skin and make them "explode" in your mouth when you eat them.

I use a little olive oil and balsamic or wine vinegar with crushed garlic as a dressing plus spices (think Braggs Sprinkles, Mrs. Dash etc)

If you can afford the calories, use tortellini and add olives (kalamata are my favorite) and some feta cheese to jazz it up. A little goes a long way!

Yum....I think I know what I'm having for dinner!!

Have a great day and thanks for ...

I used to make one with thinly sliced cukes, red peppers and scallions, and use a light creamy Italian dressing. I think I used wagon wheel pasta.
Can no longer find light creamy Italian dressing, and I'm not a fan of ranch, so it's been a while....
