I check it when there is a post....... I'm just reluctant to put down what works for me because you really need blood tests before you start loading up on certain things..........

Turmeric helps with inflammation, as does ginger and tart cherry.

Alive Energizing Vitamins are ones that I recently found and they do seem to help with my energy level. They are actually made from food sources according to the label.

Vitamin b12 is best taken in shot form or sublingually. The liquid b12 is my personal favorite because it usually has some other b vitamins mixed in to augment the b12 and make it work more effectively. B12 really helps energy levels in a big way if taken consistently.

It makes a huge difference in how you feel when you get the proper vitamins. Doctors CAN AND WILL screen for vitamin deficiencies if you ask or really push at them to. Be sure it is covered by insurance first.

My Vitamin D is so low that I am on 5000 IU's a day - that is a DOCTOR recommended dose after testing. Beth is absolutely right - you should always check with your dr before you start anything!

I was not feeling well all last winter. Almost weekly visits to the doctor. I wasn't getting more than a couple hours of sleep a night, terrible sweating in the middle of winter, feel down (they tried blaming that on I just retired and maybe I was depressed lol), indoor allergies intensified, and numerous other symptoms. After I kept saying something was wrong and numerous lab test, they finally checked my Vitamin D level and found I had a deficiency. I am now taking Vitamin D3 and try to sit in the sun for 10-15 minutes a day. Since March I have brought my Vitamin D level up from 21.9 to 44.9. People need to make sure they get their Vitamin D levels checked, but often insurance won't pay for the test because it is expensive.

I've read on several occasions that there is a direct correlation between people who have low Vitamin D levels and large amounts of belly fat. Vitamin D is reported to be helpful in the darker months for depression, as we get Vitamin D from the sun. I take Vitamin D3 because it is supposed to be the most absorbable. The amount you take would depend on if you have a deficiency or are boosting your levels. Too much D can be bad for your body. Research Vitamin D and see what you think.
