I have been sick for two weeks with bronchitis which started as flu. I am gradually getting back to the treadmill and eating healthy, mostly vegetarian.

@Snooky53, not sure what you and your daughter have tried.

But when I am not losing weight or seeing the results I want, I know that even though I'm watching portions, something isn't right. More often than not, my portions are ok--but I'm eating the wrong types of foods. or my exercise has dropped off.

For me, it's a balance of exercise and healthy foods. I can't just watch portions of junk or crappy food--it has to be healthy. I can't just walk for 10 minutes a day and expect that I'll lose all kinds of weight. I know because I used to think this.

Wishing you and your daughter success on whatever you try to do become healthier.

It's not about how bad you want it...it's about how hard you're willing to work for it

I tried it with no results. I was on it for three months. Both my daughter and I tried it. Didn't do anything for either of us.

We can do this.
It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.

I've been making dentist and doctor's appointments to take care of my health and well-being. I also am doing a 10-day colon cleanse to clear out my system along with trying the Garcinia Cambogia to see if it works like they say it does. I've been on it for 5 days and so far I haven't seen any results. Time will tell. I don't know if anyone else has tried it and had any success or not with it. I'd be curious to hear from any of you if you've tried it or not.

Tracking my daily food intake. I use the My Fitness Pal app because I find it works easily on my phone and online and quickly finds foods -even if they're brand names or popular restaurant items and then automatically subtracts from my daily set goal of calories in order to lose 2 lbs a week. It makes it so easy to keep and stay on track! I love it and I feel both responsible and accountable without feeling pressured or guilty!

Limiting the amount of sugar I am eating. With all the goodies I got for Christmas, I am really measuring them out and only having a little bit at a time. At this rate I'll still have sweets left at Christmas time next year!
