That's kind of where I'm at right now, too. She doesn't really use a sippy cup well (she loves it, but just to chew on/dump water all over herself!) and she doesn't eat a ton of solids yet, either (no teeth yet!) In my mind I always wanted to make it to a year, but now that we're here, I don't really have an end date in mind.

Thanks :). I had planned to stop at 1 yr, but he was not really using a sippy cup and eating solids until he was more like 15 months, and then he got sick a few times where he wouldn't eat but would nurse like a champ...and then I figured that when I got pregnant, it would reduce my supply and then maybe he would just self wean, but it seems he's keeping me from getting pregnant right now. The nurse at my Dr office was pretty impressed. She said he must be a very powerful nurser to be still holding it off at 24 months. ;) At this point, I half want to wean so I can get pregnant but then I think, what's a few more months...it's still good for him. It's already been 15 months since I wanted to get pregnant again. I'm not sure at what point I have to say it's been long enough. I don't really want to still be trying to get AF back in a year, when he's 3. That would put their spacing closer to 4 yrs apart, which seems really far. Especially when I was targeting an 18 month-2yr spacing. But for the time being, I'll just keep going as I am. Maybe this will be the month.

It would be a bit ironic if I get AF back at 3 months after my 2nd baby, since we aren't planning to have anymore and it would be really nice to not have to deal with AF for a couple of extra years...

I impressed you've nursed so long, SADDYSPOT. Next week will be one year for me. I don't really have a plan for stopping any time soon, but who knows! I'm also worried the breastfeeding will make it harder for me to get pregnant again (it was hard enough the first time around without adding in any other obstacles!) Right now, I'm just not ready to give it up and my DD doesn't seem interested in stopping.

I got a bad cold during my best days too, so I'm out. I didn't want to get poor husband sick, but I did anyway. Hopefully December will be better.

I feel like things are changing with my body, but I've felt like that before. I think my body has been gearing up for AF for like 12 months now. I particularly have seen changes to CM. I think my son being sick and not drinking as much milk may be all I really need to get things going again. I don't know if I ever updated on my labs, but my thyroid looks fine and my progestrin levels were super low, as expected, which pretty much confirms that my problem is breastfeeding. That said, next week will be 24 months since DS was born and I don't know anyone who has gone that long. *sigh*. I'm on day 6 of provera for this round, then 'should' see AF within 7 days. So, I'm more of a December hopeful, too, but I'm gonna hang out here for now for fun. ;)

I'm out. Am also expecting visitors during November's best chance days, so might not be hopeful again until January.

Happy Monday! How are all our November hopefuls doing? My DH and I will try this month, but given my long cycles, I don't think we will know anything until very early December.

Starting another round of Provera this week...if the Dr will call me back. This will be my 3rd try to get AF started again.

I totally agree! Every month it doesn't happen is such a sad day that I am trying to get to the acceptance of our situation and stop worrying about it. When we went through IVF, we said, "this is what I'm willing to do, and if it doesn't work, I'll know we gave it our best shot." Or lots of shots, as it were emoticon

In the meantime, I hope for the best for everyone else trying! Take care!

I understand where you are coming from. It's difficult to stop doing these routine things because we're scared if we do, we'll still miss our chance. But then you ask yourself, where do I draw the line? It's great to feel hopeful but it's even worse to have those hopes dashed over and over.

For now we are trying natural- I have one more IUI left. My DH doesn't want to do it until January, when originally it was this month. I am reading Making Babies as it was recommended by a natural fertility clinic in my town. They apparently use their program and they want you to be educated before hand. I would LOVE to try a natural approach with Eastern influence, but then then you think, but what if I spend all this money and I should have just gone with the scientific approach? But then, what if that doesn't work? So many what-if's!

You and me both, Gwenn! emoticon

The problem is that I don't know HOW to throw in the towel. I still know the signs for when we have a chance and can't help but telling DH and trying, because there are a lot of people who tell me about someone they know or someone they heard of who didn't think it would happen for them but then it did. I just don't know how to make myself be one of those people for whom it happens! Nor do I know how to ignore said signs and just live my life and make it a full one without the hope that we'll add to our family.

Until I figure it out, I'll try every month, but live my life and do my best to make it a good one.

I'm in for November. I started trying the clear blue easy digital ovulation test kits last month, but I didn't get a positive, so I will try again this month.

I will add myself to this list although I think I'm pretty close to throwing in the towel and saying this isn't going to happen for me.
