Oh it's just fine. Getting used to this month after month. Today is CD1. But this is good in a way because that means my actual LP was 12 days compared to 9 and 10.

still not sure if I'm in or out this month either. today is 12dpo (i think) and i got a BFN this morning... but still no AF which is now late for me. also apparently my husband thinks i'm being extra emotional this week because he made the mistake of telling me "i think your pregnant, you're acting crazy" so he better hope he is right or he is going to be in big trouble! so i guess i'll have to just wait and see... maybe test again on saturday if still no AF

I'm still pretty confident that I'm out for Jan and should be looking forward to Feb. What is weird is that I had alot of brown discharge Monday and Tuesday, and then it just stopped yesterday afternoon. I can't imagine that was my period. I needed more than a pad on Monday but that was it.Today I'm crampy and have a headache. Out of craziness I tested and it was negative. Must just be either really delayed this month or the shortest period ever.

I'm sorry that you didn't get the most encouraging news, but I hope that his SA comes back so you would be able to do IUI instead of IVF.

We had our RE appointment this morning. While we waited for the dr, we went over our previous results with the NP, and she thought we have MFI and need IUI or IVF. We were a little overwhelmed to hear that we might go straight to IVF, and DH was especially down after hearing they think our problem is male factor. I'm having a vitamin D test and my thyroid hormones rechecked. He gets a blood test and another SA, and that should tell us whether we have a chance of IUI being successful or whether we go straight to IVF. Lots to think about! Sadly, I had a TVUS that verified that I'm out for this month, so I'll see you in February! Hope everyone else has the best of luck and is facing a better diagnosis and prognosis than we got!

Today is 10dpo and I really doubt I am pregnant this time, so I'm most likely going to see you all on the Feb post. We shall see!

Sorry for all those who are out. I'm on 7 DPO and am seeing the RE on 9 DPO. Not-so-secretly hoping a BFP follows soon thereafter, but am really thinking it will be the start of more tests and an action plan.

Artistcat- I saw earlier this month you posted about fertility yoga. Are there particular dvd's or a book that you use? I have been looking for a good one without luck.

I am waiting for my 3rd high temp but suspect 2 DPO today and on to the wait.

I am out too. 27 day cycle this month instead of 29-30 so that might be a good sign. I think we timed well too so not sure what to think because I know with PCOS I may have an issue with implantation being successful. I am feeling moody right now but trying not to stay that way. On to February...

I'm out.. Ah well, at least something is happening now with the tests being done and all. On to next month!

Interesting info on the progesterone, Gwenn. Would be great if the Vitex is working. But still annoying that first things have to get worse before they can get better. Good luck with it!

Gwenn I have been reading about that on the natural fertility info website. I wonder about the vitex too. Because of some info I read on there I started a b complex vitamin and a cinnamon with chromium supplement. The metformin was too expensive and I would rather go natural if I can. I don't know if it was coincidence but a positive opk came 4 days earlier this cycle. I don't know if it helped get pregnant yet but we will see.

I'm really hoping for you all! Baby dust!

I've been reading up more on progesterone cream. I do have a bottle of it, but I'm still not sure about it. I have been taking Vitex. Supposedly this is to help with building up your progesterone naturally. I know one of you on here took it and got their BFP. Anyway, I was reading that if you have had estrogen dominance for a long time, and you start increasing your progesterone, that it will start waking up the receptors for both hormones and then you might start spotting, have more breast tenderness, headaches, nausea, and tiredness. I did notice that I started spotting yesterday, and I was only on 4dpo. So annoying. It has stopped, but it makes me wonder if the vitex could be working. I'm thinking I will schedule another doctor's appointment sometime soon, but I need to talk with my husband first. I'm not even sure my regular OB/Gyn can do anything at this point. He pretty much said that going to see a specialist would most likely be next.

Also did you know that a low libido is due to low progesterone? I never knew that, among other things I never knew.

Day 12....slightly lower temp but still above imaginary cover line.

I would be so scared to finance something without the most guaranteed success rate.

Oh, how I wish I could be optimistic. I really don't feel that cranky or irritable which is usual for me, but...waiting for Wondfos to come in the mail as they are significantly cheaper than anything else, and honestly, don't want to waste anything.

Hang in there everyone!

14DPO here. Temp dropped yesterday but went back up again this morning, which gave me hope. Also had some spotting, but the test came back BFN. Still no full AF though.

Haven't had much PMS symptoms this month, which was nice for a change. And my temp has been high and stable all through my LP. That hadn't happened for quite a few cycles lately.

Could be a coincidence, but feel like the Fertility Yoga is helping. Have been doing that for 6 weeks now.

Take care, Malissa. It's a long road sometimes, and I struggle with staying hopeful and optimistic too.

I had some late ovulations too, Dani, and never got a positive OPK until maybe the 4th month I was using them. I think I just kept missing them, because those cycles were 32-33 days instead of 28-30 days, so I'd stop testing too soon. I also didn't know I wasn't supposed to use FMU for the OPK - test in the afternoon instead. I never did, but I also never got pregnant, so what do I know? emoticon

We met with our financial planner today and ended up talking about how we might try to afford IVF if needed. It's weird because we haven't told our families we're seeing the RE, so our financial planner knows more intimate details of our lives than our friends and family. (I guess she always did, though - I don't really discuss money with my friends and family either). She has 5 kids, though, and it was clear they had no trouble with family planning, so I think it was good of me to keep a smile on my face and not start crying a couple times. It's the little things...

I am on day 18 with no positive OPK and no temp spike... Thoughts? I'm glad I'm seeing doc on the 27 th because I am fearing that there is more wrong here than I thought....
Any advice is appreciated, I agree with all of you the waiting is so hard!!!

I've been pretty busy the last couple of weeks with work and other stuff which is a nice distraction. I am 9 dpo and expecting AF either Thursday or Friday. This is going to be another busy week which is good to help keep my mind busy on other things.
One good thing is that I joined a biggest loser team at work. I want to lose maybe 5 lbs but I'm ok where I am too. It's more to motivate me to eat healthier and exercise more often.
I know what you mean Chris about the waiting. It does seem to take forever. It will be nice when all the testing is done and I hope you get some answers.

Hope you veel a bit better Gwenn! I know it can be hard sometimes.

And welcome to the new people! Good luck TTC and/or losing weight! Hope you'll get your (second) baby soon.

I'm 12DPO today. Got a BFN this morning. AF is due on Wednesday, so I'm waiting this one out.

On a positive note, I had the US last Friday. The technician confirmed O, and said that all looked good. Still waiting for the official verdict... I'm kind of nervous for the results of SA. We'll know more in a couple of weeks. Why do these things take so long?

Take care, Gwenn!

Good luck to everyone!

We're right around ovulation, and I just finished reading the Impatient Woman's Guide to Getting Pregnant. I highly recommend it. Even though I've been charting off and on for awhile, and have used OPKs off and on, I learned some things. I'll pass along the two that are making me feel more optimistic now:
-I'd always heard to "save up" and BD every other day to get DH's sperm counts up...but the author says there's no link between BDing every day and reduced fertility, so now I'm more confident we can BD every day and not miss the egg.

-There are things called fertility monitors, which can be more useful than OPKs for predicting the best time to BD for pregnancy. We have our initial RE appointment in 10 days, and I'm hoping for a BFP this cycle, but depending on how it goes, we might try the fertility monitor.

It was an easy read and a funny book - I read quite a few sections out loud to DH because it described our dynamic PERFECTLY. Highly recommended - grab it from your local library.

Hi ladies:

I have just decided that I want #2 some time this year, so I am beginning to get ready. I am cleaning up my body and preparing my mind. I have started taking PN Vitamins and losing weight so I don't add baby weight on top of baby weight.

I have been BF for 25 months now, and I still BF my son about 3-5 times a day. However, I got my period after 12 months of BF even though I was still nursing heavily. I am pretty sure that I am ovulating consistently, but I have not taken any tests. I haven't been paying attention to my cycle, so I want to start tracking O and AF for a few months while I lose and take vitamins for at least 3 months.

Once pregnant, my worry is staying pregnant as we have had 7 miscarriages and I really hate to go through that again. I swore that the last time was going to be my last try, but now that we have our beautiful boy, I feel like it would be wrong not to give him a sibling if we can do it.

Well, I am just tracking for now, but I wanted to get to know all of you and wish you luck this cycle. If I counted correctly AF will come on Jan. 20 for me, so I am interested to see if my cycle is consistent or not.

GOOD LUCK and baby dust to you all!

Good luck, everyone!

Hubby and I both had initial checkups last year, but since they saw no real problem with why we couldn't get pregnant, we figured it was bad timing and just kept at it. Now we are going to an RE in a couple weeks because it's still not working for us.

I just got a book recommendation from a friend: The Conception Chronicles. Has anyone else heard of it? It's not at my county library, but I'll probably pick it up. I'd prefer reading light-hearted stuff and success stories than read more from the scary IVF websites!

I also charted and used OPKs because I wanted to get pregnant as quickly as possible and I felt like narrowing down the window was the best way to make that happen. I started right from finishing birth control (for 14 years). My first cycle was 45 days long and I never got a positive OPK, my second cycle was 37 days and I got a postive OPK, but no BFP. My 3rd cycle was 32 days and I got a positive OPK by chance the first day that I was using one that month (I only used them in the general time frame of when I might be ovulating), and I got pregnant that month.

This is my first month for TTC #2. I havn't gotten AF yet after breasteeding for 14 months, but I've stopped pumping at work this month, which is pretty likely to trigger ovulation. And the longer you BF, the more likely you will ovulate before getting AF. With my 14 month old being a poor sleeper, there is no way I can chart temps effectively, so I'm using internet cheapy OPKs. I've gotten a couple of pretty dark ones, so I may or may not have ovulated this week, just missing the actual peak day, but we made a good effort at making a baby, just in case. If not...there's always next month. I'll be 35 in a couple of months, so I really want to get pregnant quickly again. And I miss being pregnant and I look forward to it :)

I started using a digital OPK after stopping BC because I was concerned after being on it for nearly 10 years. The obsessive charting didn't start until a few cycles later when my cycle stayed really short. Now....I mostly know from physical symptoms but do use cheap OPKs to pinpoint surge for timing of progesterone.

I started tracking when we started TTC, at first just to check if I ovulated at all. I have regular cycles so I think it's probably not really necessary. But I feel TTC is already a lot about luck. I have noticed that the part I can control, I do want to control. And however much I like BD, I'm always a little relieved when my temp goes up and I'm sure we're 'done'. After that we can just have fun, without the pressure.

Also, I was 33 when we started. Yes, I know we have time. But at that moment, I didn't want to 'waste' a cycle.

And another perk for me: my temp usually drops just before AF and I like to get a heads up, if possible.

But, CRINS15, I totally agree with Amanda, it's not for every one. I know my SIL (now a mom after IVF) really hated it and felt stressed out about it. So do what you feel best about! And if you have any questions we're here for you when you're ready.

I started off with tracking my temp for a few months, then I started opks. I have done the cheap ones and most recently I tried the digital. This past two months I stopped doing boh. At first it was difficult because I felt like I was addicted to it, but then it felt freeing. Sometimes I forget where I am in my cycle, which sometimes annoys me, but after 14 cycles of this, I felt it was time to focus on something else.
