I had to Fast for my Dr. appt this morning so I didn't have anything last night after supper, my FBS was 146 this morning. My Dr. wasn't too concerned. I'll try the Turmeric Milk tonight when I get home from Zumba, and let you know tomorrow

actually I used to take care of an elderly woman, she passed away a month from her 99th birthday and every morning she would have either cheerios, oatmeal or Grapenut Flake cereal with a 1/2 banana, I figured she had something going for her with just eating plain old cereal and 1/2 banana or sometimes strawberries, I find there is way to much processed food for our own good, and I'm trying to go back to basics.

I have some Golden Milk mix that I made the other night. I would like it better with slightly sweet almond milk than what I made with the regular milk, though. That was a little bitter. I was needing some for pain, though.

Janice, have you tried that cereal (been out about a year, I think) that is supposed to help control blood sugar? I can't remember the name, but is just in the cereal aisle at the grocery. I am tempted to try it to see if I can handle any kind of cereal - both for IBS and diabetes.

I'm not sure if I can do that, I was fed warm cow's milk ( right from the cow) when I was a little kid, now the only way I can drink milk ( when I drink milk) it has to be really cold..... I will give it a try though

NASFKAB, what all do you use in the turmeric milk? Is it with Turmeric, coconut oil and pepper? Anything else go in it? I have a jar of a mixture that has those (dried, though) and whey. I think there may be cinnamon in it, too. I have problems getting it to all dissolve, but otherwise I like it.

Actually in Bangladesh we get whole milk which is heated before use so I usually remove the fat on the top & freeze it & make "butter" with it.

My endocrinologist recommended a low carb snack - milk, a couple of whole wheat crackers, apple slices with peanut butter, etc. These did seem to help.

I sometimes have a little higher blood sugar in the morning. Morning blood sugar is just a few points above the normal range when it gets high. Should I be eating a bedtime snack. I usually don’t eat anything after dinner.
If you have a bedtime snack what do you eat?
