I found some dried berries and nuts at Walmart. The serving size is small (1 TBSP), but for me I can totally fill up on 2-3 servings and carbs are 3 g for blueberry and pecan, 4 g for all the others. It is something to eat on salads or just as a snack.

I like a nut butter on an apple slice. Seeds are good -- pumpkin seeds (pepitas), sunflower seeds.

Tapestries - I'm a HUGE protein eater. The after dinner snack is when I crave a little sweet. I know that when I was following South Beach Diet they suggested putting 3 semi sweet chocolate chips in your mouth and just let them melt. I might have to pick some up and give that another try.

Are you eating enough protein at dinner? You shouldn't need a snack 1 hour after dinner. Are you hungry or do you just want a treat?

I like to combine a fruit with a protein for a snack. Like an apple with peanut butter, or cheese. Yogurt and fruit is also good.

Fruit alone makes me hungry, as do any plain carb snack.

I find that I need a snack at about 3 pm and again about an hour after dinner. Veggies and hummus are ok but I hate to get bored. That only leads to unhealthy eating for me.

I tend to crave salty but need a sweet every once in a while. Fruit doesn't do it for me. Gives me too fast a boost in my BSL. I did find Sargento Balanced Breaks. The sweet one has dark chocolate covered peanuts as part of the balance. New to me are also Outshine Fruit Bars. These are frozen and in this heat they really hit the spot. I have to be careful with these because ice cream is one of my binge foods and these might trigger a run to the ice cream store.

What do you all snack on?
