It depends... it's different for all of us, based on our individual metabolism. Just keep track of what happens and you'll figure it out!... emoticon

"The real secret of success is enthusiasm..." thanks, Walter P. Chrysler. I believe it. That's what I want in my life--to give my imagination a chance, to live with energy and enthusiasm!
P.S. I looked up enthusiasm, and it says the root words mean God within... interesting...!

Ralph Waldo Emerson said 'Life belongs to the energetic.' But you don't have to be frenetic and hyper--some energy is quiet and steady, like a heartbeat... and that works too! LOL

Life comes one mome

After a high-carb binge, it usually takes me a day to get back to feeling like myself. The day after the binge, I feel sluggish, sleepy, fatigued, and just generally bad. I'm not sure if it helps, but I do try to drink more water when I know I've brought my sugars too high. I like to think I'm somehow diluting things.

There really is no stock answer to give you. IN my experience, with adjusting my diet so it's healthy and drinking plenty of water, along with plenty of exercise, things usually "clear up" in a day or two. Good luck.

Love is the root of all things good in life.

So, what are people's experiences with the lingering effects of carbs?

I overdid the carbs last night for dinner, and my BS numbers are still high post eating. How long should I expect it to take for my body to clear out the glucose?

Any experience with this?
