I am determined to be in the 130's by my 40th birthday which is June 14th, right now I weight 144.6. It is my goal to be 135 which is almost 10 pounds in 6 weeks.
I am off from school for the summer so it is my goal to work out at least 5 times per week, shouldn't be too hard since I have a gym in my basement and at work (no excuses now)
I also cannot wait to get back to hot yoga class now that I'm not in school at night after work.
So excited for this challenge!! emoticon

Really excited to be starting today!!! Except I'm quite scared that I will have trouble with the exercices. I seem to lack motivation on this one. I want to do them, but by the time I finally have a few minutes to myself, it's late and it's time to go the bed and I just don't have the willpower and strenght to do them cause I'm totally bushed!!!

But I'm determined to somehow find time for me to do this. People... you're all autorized to give me $?%%&?%$/ if I fall off the wagon, ok?

Starting today. May 1st. Since I joined the Jan bootcamp 28 day challenge, I have continued to make exercise a part of my life. This will be my 5th month in a row of participating in a consistent exercise program. I'm so glad I joined the first challenge because it helped put me into the right frame of mind. I have lost 1-2 inches off of pretty much everywhere! My goal for this month will be to continue what I was doing in April and add the video's to my list of things to do. One step closer to looking good in that bathing suit this summer!

My weight is supposed to be in pounds not kgs. Does anyone know how i can change it?

Reading other people's messages is very helpful. I found my same feelings reflected in others: anxiety about being successful, excitement at starting fresh, determination to meet goals.

I haven't been a big user of teams and forum discussions on sparkpeople but I am going to try to make some online friends who will keep me accountable and draw me to the website even when I am tired or feeling rushed. I am counting on you all to be there for me. emoticon

My goal for this week is just to get moving again. I have been ill for most of this last month and just sort of lost all or most of my motivation. I am hoping this is a great motivator for me as it was during the last bootcamp challenge I did.

I am ready to start and go strong. i also will be focusing on healthy suppers - that tends to be where my calories go high. the workouts are helpful, but meaning less if i don't also keep my calories in check.

I have not been consistent over the last 2months so I really need to get back on track. This week I will stick to my program and get in at least 20 mins of exercise each day.

Hi, I've been struggling with consistency in exercise this year and as my life is very stressful at the moment my doctor has told me to make exercise a priority. At the same time I'm finding maintaining a challenge so it seemed to me a little accountability and a clear set goal would help. Plus I'm heading back to the Northern Hemisphere at the end of June and being more toned wouldn't go amiss. I'm trying to do some cardio (even if its just to take a brisk walk) every day and now I'm adding the bootcamp videos.

Good luck to all of you

I started the challenge today since I'll be gone the last couple of days in May. Did day 7 - very challenging ab workout! I've been trying to do a program that is 45-60 mins. 3 days a week. It's been hard to get a large chunk of time like that it, so I'm trusting the 7 day shorter sessions will work easier for my schedule.

I will be starting this challenge tomorrow and took a sneak peak at the Day One video and I must say I'm more than a little anxious! You know it's quite a workout when even Coach Nicole is a little out of breath. I'm going to go for it anyway but I hope I survive, lol! That which doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, right?

I was shocked when I weighed myself last week. I gained 15 pounds this winter. It is definitely need to start exercising. This bootcamp seemed like a good place to start. I've already set the bootcamp videos page as my homepage so that as soon as I log in I'm at sparkpeople and can't forget. emoticon

I was able to keep myself at 150-155 lbs for a full year, and after feeling sorta ok with myself i stopped doing the small things that kept me on that number, and one week ago the scale slapped me on the face as it showed 166 pounds, it was a big deal and i was really depressed and angry at the same time for 2-3 days, and i said to myself its time to start over again!
This challenge sounds perfect for me and my goal is to just stick with it! and have fun, the weight will come off by itself.
Guys, we can do this!!

This is the first challenge I am being serious about. I was looking for some extra motivation and when i got an email about this challenge I decided to go for it. I was down 51 lbs and then gained back 8 lbs in the last 12 days so it was absolutely time for me to get back on track. This will help me to be motivated to work out more and try new things. I am also doing a C25K challenge so between the two I know I will keep moving forward. My goal is to be healthy and that is the main thing for me. emoticon

This is my first SparkTeam Challenge! I am looking forward to it! I don't usually enjoy exercise, but I can do a 10 minute video!!!! This makes me realize that I can just break my 30 minute cardio sessions into 10 minute increments! I can do anything for 10 minutes. I am good about talking myself out of exercising for 30 minutes at a time. I am not starting officially until tomorrow (5/1) but I did the kickboxing today and it went by so fast!

I am looking forward to doing this with all of you!

I like the challenges on Sparkpeople because they help me get excited about my workouts (thinking that I am earning a "trophy" for them).
Sometimes working out and eating healthy seems so pointless. Most of the time I don't feel like it's pointless at all. I usually feel great after several days of consistent workouts, but sometimes I'm just feeling drained and bummed and want to sit around and eat junk. On those days, the challenges help me stay on track because I've committed to "earning my trophy."

This is my first challenge and I am doing this mainly to feel better about myself. I like the idea of setting and achieving goals.

Being well over 200 lbs, I have a lot of back fat. When I look in the mirror, I have a crease in the lower part of my back. Fortunately, I have noticed it getting smaller, but I would like to see it gone. So, that is one of my goals for this challenge.

My second goal has to do with the airline trays. The last time I flew, in the fall of 2009, the air line tray table did not quite go all the way down without hitting me in the stomach. I will be flying on June 8 and really want to be able to set the tray down and not have it rest on my lap.

My goal is to actually stick with this challenge for the full month. Also, I'll try to go for a walk every day.

Riot, not diet!

My goals for Week 1:

~Continue finishing up my Recovery week of Insanity, then start that dreaded second month with a repeat of the Fit Test and the longer, tougher workouts. (Ugh- gotta get the toughness out of my head because it will scare me)

~Push to drink at least 2 liters water per day (I don't drink enough; I'm usually on the dehydrated side).

~Continue to cut out the processed foods that contain hydrogenated oils, MSG, preservatives, fake fats, artificial sweeteners & HFCS, food colorings. I have to make MOST of my foods real and natural foods.

~Continue to cut down the sugary and starchy foods. Grains included! Think PRIMAL! (or Paleo)

Good luck everyone!!! WE CAN DO THIS!

~Angie

Decide-Commit-Succeed
The Beachbody slogan has actually worked for me! It's not magic, it's good old fashioned hard work- but it WORKS.
Let me know if I can help you select one of our great workout programs.
