Day two - had to do core video seated, but still was able to modify so I felt the abs work. Oh yeah! 20 min walk around park for lunch time.

Everyone have a great day!

I just did the first workout video...with my son in my arms. Not the easiest thing to do, but added a little resistance and was a better option than stepping on him. :)

Hello all. My name is Vicky and my week will Start Sunday 4/29/12. I have to purchase a resistance band and dig out my mat. I already walk 45 - 55 minutes a day, 4 days a week, so I have to sneak in one more day a week to meet the challenge goals. I have been wanting to add some strength training and this is just want I needed. My goals are the challenge goals:

1. Follow 1 bootcamp workout video 1 time per day
2. Track food for 1 whole day at least 3 times per week
3. Exercise for at least 10 minutes per day
4. Do at least 10 minutes of cardio 5 times per week

I am a member of Weight Watchers so I will actually be tracking my food 7 days a week. I am pretty excited to have a built in support system since I really hate strength training, hopefully the challenge will keep me motivated. If any one else is using Weight Watches eTools, my profile page is community.weightwatchers.com/Profil
e/U
serProfile.aspx
please send a friend request. I am going to really need the support to stick with strength training, because I would really love to be comfortable in a swimsuit this year! emoticon

I would like to loose 12 lbs during this challenge!! Then I would be down 75 lbs overall!! But I will settle for just getting stronger and feeling even better about myself than I already do!! I'm looking forward to this challenge. I've been doing well this week without this challenge, but with this challenge, maybe it will help motivate me this whole month. I've almost done 500 minutes this week alone. I'm trying to catch up to a goal. If it does not work, then I may have to consider just changing my goals. I'm doing well so far though. I have not made a plan for next week yet, but I will definitely get on that soon. My biggest goal for this month is to lose 10 lbs. This first week my goal is to lose 2-3lbs. Hoping that I can achieve my goals this month.

Weight as of 1/11/13 - 175.6
1st goal 168 lbs on 2/1/13 -
2nd goal 165 lbs on 2/14/13 - Valentine's Day!
3rd goal 162 lbs on 3/1/13 -
4th goal 158 lbs on 4/1/13 -
Final goal 155 lbs on 5/1/13 - My birthday month!

I was feeling depressed and overwhelmed today. I almost decided I didn't have time to workout and track my food so much. By joining this challenge I hope to not give up on my next goal of 142lbs. Thanks for mixing things up for us!

I broke the plateau I had then I fell ill for a month and a half since then I have been gaining a little of what I lost back. I do need to change my workout routines more often. I am hoping this challenge will help give me more ideas of things I can do with the neuropathy in my legs and feet.

My week 1 program I will stick to what I have been doing and adding the toning videos:

Two 1 hour walks with the dog 7 days a week
10 to 20 minutes of Strength training 4 days a week
10 minutes of yoga 7days a week
10 minute toning video 6 days this week
10 minute cardio workout did today (day1)

Track my exercise and food

I've been a loner mostly. Hanging out here at SP since last July and I've lost 50 pounds. Now I'm stuck here, going up and down a few pounds each week so I am going to do the best I can with this challenge to break through this plateau. I am on new medications for rheumatoid arthritis that may or may not kick my butt. Doesn't matter. I have my routine, 3 -15 minute rounds of exercise. Tai Chi in the AM, weights, ball and floor with or without bands late morning and then Air Walker in the afternoon. I just need to shake it up a bit and hope this challenge does that for me.
Good luck fellow Sparkers.
Hugs,

I'm 10lbs away from my goal weight but I don't feel like I've lost any inches. I haven't been tracking accurately the last few months, so I can't say for certain but I am still squishy and definitely do not look my weight. I'd love to get more toned while working on reaching my weight goal.

I am here to learn how to exercise. Sounds funny, huh? Well it's true. I have no coordination and usually end up walking for my exercise. While walking is great it can get a little boring. I'm hoping this challenge will help kick start me into a great new exercise routine! emoticon

I've taken back up with running due to the lovely weather. I joined this Bootcamp challenge (my first one ever) to help hold me accountable. I can do ten minutes of exercise every day even on the days I am tired. So I have no excuses. I don't want to set a goal weight. I hope to lose a pound or two during this challenge, but mostly I just want to develop a routine. I am looking forward to this challenge!

Hi,

I'd like to lose 5 to 7 pounds (go from 222 to 217/215). I am training for a half marathon. I will be working on weeks 5-8 of the Hal Higdon, Novice 1 training program. I'd also like to work on my tendency to overeat on bad days.

Week 1's focus will be on exercise and accountability. If I start at the beginning I can make it to the end successfully. I have been working on making commitments to myself to stay on track, joining this challenge will make me accoutable.

Thursday: Water Aerobics; Workout video when I get home.
Friday: 5 k walk with PennWalkers - Zumba
Saturday: Bowling

Will update as I go along

This is my first bootcamp type challenge, and I'm pretty nervous about it! I have a number of physical limitations due to chronic illnesses, but I'm trying to do everything I can to become a more fit person. I'm hoping this will give me new ideas on how I can keep this trend going.

My week 1 goals:

1. 30 minutes cardio, three times per week, and 10 minutes cardio two other times per week.
2. 1, 10-minute toning video each day.
3. Make sure water intake stays high.
4. Increase protein in my diet, as I've not been getting enough.
5. Make sure to keep tracking nutrition and fitness!

Let's do this!

emoticon

(ETA: I am going to officially start on the 29th to keep a Sunday start to the weeks!)

Ok....these cardio goals are a bit lofty for me right now but I'll jump in as soon as I can. I have a heel spur and a VERY sore foot and I've been advised not to do anything weight bearing until I get my orthotics which may happen as early as Sunday, next Sunday at the latest. So for now, I'll focus on the strength training, but as soon as I'm able I'll add the cardio.

Aloha fellow bootcampers!

I signed up and will start this today... but if I have to restart on the 29th to be eligible for everything, that's cool too.

I have the 28 day bootcamp dvd and have done 26 of the 28 days. I had to take a break because I messed up my knee riding my exercise bike. It's getting better, i switched to walking for a few days... then I'll finish those last 2 days and start it over. I like it quite a bit. The exercises are easy enough and she has 3 different intensities of many of the moves. The music isn't all that, but it's ok enough. :) I hope you enjoy yours!

My goals for this Spring into Shape Bootcamp.... FINISH IT!!

Also... to keep my water going (I have a good streak going!)
and to get a hold on my eating! I am having such a hard time with that part. I'd like a month of GOOD, in my ranges, nothing but healthy food days :)

This challenge will fit in with my going mostly vegan challenge.
I feel more energetic already!
I just have to remind myself that I`m not as light on my feet as Nichole so I don`t injure myself! emoticon

My challenge goal for week 1 to just make time for this (and to figure out how to do all of the videos when I don't have internet at home, hmm). This is a busy time of year for me and I don't usually feel like I have the energy to do anything, but I'm hoping this will be the motivation I need to keep moving.

I am new to the bootcamp style challenge and hope that I have the stamina to make it to the finish line. I am currently in a weight loss plateau and hope the dynamics of this type of workout can get me over the hump to begin losing weight again. I have 25 more pounds to lose to reach my goal weight but have been stuck where I am for several weeks now. I am looking forward to something new.

hello I am new to the challenge and just signed up. I went out and bought the 28 day work out dvd about a week ago and am going to break it open today. The reason I wanted to join the challenge is because my husband has a class reunion coming up. I am his second wife and no one has ever met me. they all knew his first wife because they all went to school together so I would like to look good when I walk in there. But, the main reason for losing weight is because I am tired of being heavy and want to be healthier. Cardio isn't hard for me to do because I dance everyday to music on the radio.

I joined the challenge and I'm starting on Sunday.
My goals is to be consistent. I tend to start strong and fade after a couple of weeks. It's time for a permanent lifestyle change and I just love a challenge!

I just wanted to change up my routine a little. I will be continueing to do cardio 7 days a week and adding in the videos. If there is not enough ab workouts to my preference I will be doing more crunches with a medicine ball at the gym too.

Good luck everyone!

This is perfect. I have lost about 12 lbs since the middle of March but really wanted to lose about 20 more by May 25th when I leave for Costa Rica. I have lost about 105 lbs since I started my weightloss journey and I am so close to my goal I can taste it but I have struggled getting there. I am ready and so glad I found this challenge because it is perfect timing for my trip.
