I've been sorta stuck in a rut the last few weeks so hopefully this challenge will help me with that. I haven't gained but I haven't lost either. My goals are to add at least ten minutes more exercise daily in an attempt to jump start my weight loss again.

Had a great first Day!!

Ate nice and healthy all day!

Ran two miles and plan on walking another two miles after dinner

Did the Day 1 video twice as soon as I got back from my run, was a great fun workout, I just finished and I feel like I could do it another couple of times since I enjoyed it so much!

Hope everyone else's week 1 is going well :)

Okay, so here I am all fired up to get ready for summer and alas I somehow injure myself. This seems to be a trend for me! This time it is just a pulled muscle in my back and I know that it will heal! I am still trying to do some upper arms and leg exercises and really sticking to my diet.

A tank top, shorts and and jiggling or wiggling is in my future!!!!

I'm here to try to get into the swing of strength training regularly. I've been doing cardio since January but I have an issue with making time for weights. I'm hoping to tone and lose a few inches by my vacation at the end of May.

1st video went well. My bedroom is a little cramped where my computer is so I'm looking more forward to the strength videos and less forward to the cardio.

Just finished the Day 1 video. Liked it, althought I felt like an uncoordinated fool! LOL. Every time I would just get comfortable in a movement, she would move on. Really looking forward to some progress on the scale in May, so have to keep moving!!

My plan for the month:
64 oz water daily
Limit of 1600 calories daily
6 cardio sessions per week
complete challenge videos

Goal: lose 5 lbs in May

I have several goals for this bootcamp.
1. To complete all steps of the Bootcamp.
2. To lose 8 pounds by the end of the month (2 pounds per week).
3. To jog for 10 minutes at a 5 on a treadmill (This might not be alot for some, but I have never ran/jogged in my life except to catch a bus or a cab!).

I wish everyone good luck on their goals!!

A Spark Friend invited me to this challenge. There are so many people here I probably won't even see her the whole time I am here. I got thru the 1st day video of kickboxing. I kept moving but my motions were not anything like Nicoles. The jumping jacks I have to do in the pool. In fact I can really kick butt in the pool using my speedo gloves. I also use a head set and play jumping music to keep my body in motion and moving.
LOL - I am apt to hurt myself with these video's. I am no way any kind of contortionist - not anymore anyway. The WII Fit Plus exercises are about my limit, but we will see what happens here.

Have a good afternoon - I am headed for the pool for water aerobics. MA

I started March 7, 2011, and I did real well for a little over a month. Then, emotional and physical problems got me down and now I'm just starting over.

I love the challenges because it gives me structure in my fitness goals. Without SparkPeople and the challenges, I'm totally lost in my quest to find a healthy me.

My goal for this week is to not miss any of the videos and actually lose an inch or two on my waist and get a little stronger, too.

So far so good. Finished Day 1 and I really enjoyed the kickboxing video. I feel a little silly for not realizing they had fitness videos for us to use already but I feel like this is a good introduction for me. Even after the challenge, I might be using them to spice up my routine. Anyways, looking forward to Day 2 ^^

I finished the video for emoticon and only had to adjust a little. I did manage to keep up and so I feel a real accomplishment with it. I'm looking forward to day #2.

My goal for this first week of the challenge is to help me to feel a tad better than just walking and stretching alone which I have been doing. Already I do!! Oh do I!! Gotta get limber!

I joined in the hopes of kickstarting the last 15 pound loss to my goal weight. I've lost 50 in the last year & kept it off, but have been sitting at/around the same weight for months. I need to do something different if I want different results. Best wishes to everyone in their efforts!

MA, at the top of this team's page, under Challenge Details, click on "Week 1 Action Steps", not the box (put a check mark in the box "after" the week is completed).

Here's a link to it. Hopefully the link works. www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/challeng

Started on 4/27 and this is day five for me. First day that the video almost did me in.

after retirement and before last June, I had 0 exercise, then I started walking.
Till last week all I did was walk and was in the third week of my first plateau.

In the past two weeks, I have joined three challenges, this is the toughest. Every day I do at least 30 minutes of cardio antway, it is the exercise videos that are the challenge. So far was OK, today I had to modify. There are some things that I can't do, doctors orders from back problems and the fact I had my gall bladder removed two weeks ago and that doc gave me some orders too. But with modifications I did it. I am shaking, breathing hard and some pain but it is the kind that goes away and is in my back and neck, weakest areas for me.

So keep going guys, you can do it, modify what you have to, good luck everyone.

I also want the trophy, first time in my life I want a trophy.

Looking to lose 10-lbs again like I did in October doing this challenge. It's great! Got the first video done today....Woot! Woot! My challenge is I have vertigo frequently from my inner ear imbalance and it sometimes makes it hard to do any work-outs standing...or sometimes at all. When the vertigo is spinning like a tornado, with those all I can do is lie still until they pass. The vertigo that makes things swim and makes me too unstable standing, I can do some exercises while seated. I use a portable cycler (like they use in nursing homes) that I can use while relaxing my head back on the couch and cycle my legs. I can sit in a chair, when stable enough, and use resistance bands. Anyone have any other suggestions of getting in some decent cardio while seated? I would greatly appreciate it. For the challenge, I am doing like I did in October....as soon as I get up in the morning, I will do my video(s)....if I wake up feeling okay...because I never know how the rest of the day will go. So as the videos increase each week, I will do what I can first thing in the morning. Everything I do on the videos is modified...literally, other than the walking in place. I have to hold on to do the leg lifts so I lift one arm at a time, switch and do the next arm, etc. It's pure craziness but it works. I refuse to let this disability win. Would love any suggestions. THANKS! LOVE this challenge and SP! :)

Life is meant to be experienced and enjoyed...I choose to live my life to the fullest with every second I am given. I am so blessed!

Hi, all!

My goals for this month are, above all, to have fun with it. I'm also going to be pushing myself to go above & beyond what I've already been doing, to increase my levels of intensity - within reason, of course. I know that I can do more than I've already been doing, & so I'm going to challenge myself after the first few days to start doing the more challenging forms of the strength training. I'm also going to work on increasing the distance I go with my cycling as well as to just keep improving on my fitness level.

I'm also part of a water challenge for May from another team, & so I'm also going to be incorporating that in with this, making sure I get in my daily minimum & drinking more as I need to.

As for weight & size, I want to shrink, of course, but they're not my focus here. I just want my fitness level to increase, & that's why I'm doing this, to have fun with it. I know my goals aren't concrete, but that's what I'm doing. I know that being on a team like this can help with that, & so here I am. :)

I'm doing this bootcamp because I need something new to get me excited again about being healthy! I was doing really well until I got busy... family came, we ate out, we bought Easter candy, the Easter candy was still on sale.... So over the last 2 weeks I've gained 4 pounds instead of lost! I decided to start training for a 10k, so my plan was to run 3 days and do strength training on the off days... I started off well, but that kind of fizzled, too. So this bootcamp is coming along at the perfect time to get me to start watching my eating habits more closely and exercising daily again!

I'd love to lose 10 pounds this month. I'm not sure if that's realistic, but I'm going to work for it! I've been lingering so close to 200 for a long time and can never seem to get past 203... I want to get into one-derland, dangit! So that's the weight goal for this month!

My goals are to lose weight and exercise 6 days per week after the bootcamp is finished. The bootcamp will make me accountable for doing the required elements of it. I have an elliptical at home in which I will make at least 30 minutes of cardio per day and increase it every week. Good Luck everyone!

Donormama - You will make it! Keep going. Keep the goal in front of your eyes and you will make it. Realize that everyday that goal gets a little larger as it gets closer and sooner than you think, you will be there. emoticon

My goal is to lose 15 pounds by the end of this 4 week challenge. I have to lose 120 pounds in order to give my husband a kidney. He is in kidney failure and has to do dialysis everyday and he does not like it. We are a match but they will not let me be a donor at my current weight. I hope I can do it this time not only for him but also for me.

My goals for this week is to walk 1.5 miles 2x a day, more if I can, and to do the video every day, plus another 10 minute video on aerobics that I have. When I have spare time, I will do extra exercise in order to keep moving.

By the end of this week I want to be 3 pounds lighter. Today's weight is 213.2 pounds.

I have walked 1.5 miles at 17 min/miles and 1.5 miles at 15 min/mile. That's doing great for me!
Gotta go drink water! It's 90 out there and I'm dripping! Keep Sparking!
