I have been on and now going off.

I walked yesterday and did my bike. With water in hand I am off to do my bike and hope sun comes out and dries the street, as we live in a circle, so I can walk.

As soon as he comes home from church I will walk. The party put on a lb. .2 because of the appetizers I haven't had in a while and wanted to try again. So I will start today with yogurt for breakfast, lunch salad with egg in it and will have sm supper.

What gets me is the parties that come close together. I had Easter, then the same week two confirmations and now Mother's Day coming and my birthday.

The other day was stressful, maybe the rain and wind and clouds so I could not walk outside.
I had a struggle with sweets so I just brushed my teeth. That way I told my mind I was not going to eat them to stratify my stress. Sometimes, you have to take command.

That is how I am too. If I go to a party I try to enjoy myself and then I watch myself the rest of the week and it goes with eating right and exercises I do, like you. I can remember when I had my son and weighed l80 lbs. Gosh! I was in a size 20 but I managed to get back into reg clothes and out of the Plus sizes. It takes a while after having a baby to lose the weight. I was so used to the sweets and had to get them out of my system before I could lose. Now, I range from a size l2 to l4 depending on the mfg. As long as my doc says my weight is ok I am satisfied. Darn that middle spare tire though. That takes some exercising to do to get rid of it but it is not that bad. I am working on it by walking the best exercise there is.

I am not really concentrating on losing right now. More thinking just about eating healthier, and trying to figure out what is going on with my right side of my body, especially my oblique muscles and my groin and upper thigh area. So that I can move easier with less pain. So lots or PT type stretching while waiting to get to see some specialist. I have pretty much just been maintaining for some yrs now. I bounce up and down 0-2 pounds here and there, but pretty much maintaining. I went to a B-Day pot luck Saturday and was up a little Sunday, but today I am back down a pound. So pretty much still just maintaining.

We do not want you to feel that you have to do this but do it because you want to. If you do not want to tell us if you went up or down then just tell us how you lost the weight. Any information you can give us will help others. I know Spark has other ways to show you how to lose weight but as a group together we can be friends answering questions on what we did wrong that day and why we gained or what we did right and lost. The choice is up to you. I hope you will join with Marian who has done so much to help others in the weight department.

How many of you want to do that? I know I do I am doing it. As I age I refuse to go into my retirement and senior years with having to deal with ongoing health issues that are affected by being overweight.

Did you resolve to get healthy in 2019? Sure you have. We all have or we wouldn't be here....yet again, still.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have that promise finally fulfilled and ensure that we never have to lose the weight again?
By working together we can help each other meet those life-enhancing goals.

If we resolve to do anything this year let's resolve to achieve our goals. In sharing our journey we can make this the year every one of us overcome troubling food habits and transforms our health.

Starting May 1 those that choose to participate will weigh in and post it in a journal to keep track Here, they'll post their starting date and pounds looking to lose. Then once a week from here on in just state:
Lost or
Stayed The Same

This year each of us myself included, who are seriously dead set with a dedicated commitment to turning their lives around 360 degrees, making those life-changing choices in lifestyle, health and diet and finally wanting, needing to reach that ultimate goal...those are the people that will be here.

Have you noticed on the board it shows people who lost where you first come into spark page? It is amazing to see them. How proud they seem. How hard it was to do, but they did it. I can't quite bring myself to get onto the scales yet LOL With this heat and humidity? it'll show more than I want to see right now.

With all this activity and perspiring I can feel that my clothing is loosening up. Maybe I should be taking my measurements instead?!

I am now down a total of 7 pounds

Indeed. Making progress now. I'm also using a tracker on my phone and weighing every morning so I can track trends. After a few months I should see how my cycles and such affect my weight with water fluctuations.

Lately I've been weighing between 131 and 133. Should get under 130 soon.

Still gradual here. Was more around 140 still a few weeks ago. Scale died about a week ago but got a new one (didn't like the other so decided not to replace the battery). Current bw according to new scale is 136.4. Hoping to get below 132 by summer.

Hmmm I see where a few of you have been keeping up with this thread. I however have NOT been getting the notifications that a post has been made. GRR

I'm going to resubscribe to it and see what happens. My apologies for not being able to keep up!

A little disappointed with my weigh-in at the docs last week. As hard as I've been working at this these last two weeks the scale reflected a gain. Mind you if I take into account the time of day and having eaten and drank breakfast and my mid-morning snack....

Starting today I'm going to revisit Dr. Fuhrman's first six weeks and see where I'm at with my next appointment 3 months from now.

No waiting" 'til tomorrow" syndrome. No procrastinating.

I haven't used it much before but for non-liquids it is considered more accurate to weigh the item in grams. Will use it mostly for things like the chicken and such as I portion things out, if I can do a bit more prep this time around instead of grabbing things last minute.

Well, now my weight is up. Vacation = lots of food. I kept myself rather in check compared to before but still: cheesecake factory twice, hooters, hard rock cafe. My family is big on food and stepdad likes to eat 3 meals at least a day, so yeah, it was shopping and food. I'm getting things together for a better planned eating deficit for over summer to prepare for a vacation in August.

LOL, I have the same problem, I like food too much.

I got over 3 miles in yesterday with work and errands and that was all before 1 pm. I stopped tracking after I got home. Today I did 35 mins of exercise already early in the am. I weighed myself and I am down 1.5 pounds from the last time I weighed myself. I really watched what I ate the last two nights and turned down desert and junk food too, and no soda. So getting back on the right track again.

I am still at 166.2, I have been losing and gaining the same few pounds since going back to work. Now that we are in our slow period at work I will have more time to exercise. Hopefully I can get back on track, especially during the summer.

Weighin in still in the 130's. Today was 133.6 and a couple of days ago it was 135. Been as lows as around 132 but the eating in a deficit wasn't quite a success. Will just maintain for the rest of the month and try again to do lower calorie for summer.

Scale is back to showing 132, should see the lower end of month numbers as the week progresses. If I weigh less, switch to once a month or so, I'll do it at the end of the month since I seem to weigh less then. hehe

Overall, had a good first month of the 3 month cut even though the first half was temperamental. Started 135-136 and am at 131-132. About 1 lb a week averaged out, which is the most I want to lose a week anyways. Going to stick to the 1500 calorie average for this next month too. Should get into the 120's and stay there.

Weighing in at 131. Good progress from the start of March, which was 135.6. Probably will see a slight increase soon with my cycle but know to stay on course as seems to be going well after all. That first 2.5 weeks was tough when nothing seemed to happen. Does show how they say weight loss isn't linear.

I like walking around stores. Even if I have my card with me I'm broke anyways so can't be spending money on things despite needing some new clothes. It's just nice to look at all of the stuff out there at times.

The scale for me tends to go down more at the end of the month than the beginning. Think it's part based on hormones as that coincides roughly with my cycle so does make a little sense. Plus those times it can be hard not to give in to more cravings.

Right now the scale is showing around 133, so that's in the right direction. Just need to keep going and trust the process.

That's great news! I wish mine would cooperate now too.
I'm not letting it win however.
Even today with being on the road in promotion of this year's community & Tourist guide I preplanned, took a lunch and snacks.
I was in the big ole metropolis of Wainwright and took my lunch by mall walking around Wal-mart.
Walt said I was shopping! LOL Yeah window shopping. Left monies and credit cards at home! Had a whole 95 cents on me LOL Deliberately done.

Oh no as long as I listen to my body the better I have a meal routine.
I'm up at 5 every day but not hungry until 8 so have my fruit and vegetable smoothie.by the time lunch rolls 'tound I'm ready to have something again. Had my big bowl of salad with chicken
Supper was 5:30 and I had more salad and roast chicken stuffed with asparagus and Swiss cheese.
Drank lemon water Apple cider vinegar throughout the day. Last night I did 15; min on my stepper.
Today started out with my smoothie so far.

Sorry to hear it didn't go in your favor. At least it was minimal so some variables can be accountable but still a nuisance when putting in the effort.

I'm not good about the paying attention to hunger thing in any capacity. Some days I would overeat and others I would eat barely a couple hundred calories if I went off the feeling of hunger. It's such a fleeting feeling for me so I base more on just figuring out what calories I need for the given goal and go from there.

I had a salad today for lunch but with some dressing. Had a buffalo flavored tuna packet I wanted to try, so added it to a salad that included a bleu cheese dressing packet that I used only part of, plus didn't use the bacon packet that was with it.

I do too. Apparently it's a 2 year program that they'll want me to follow rather rigidly. I don't know what they'll do if I find things....
There isn't much of anything I don't like in the way of foods. If the diet is simply the Canada's food guide with specific portions I'll be alright. It's the exercises I'm more leary about. They had better be willing to work with me and my back issues or they're going to be having issues.

In the meantime I'm going to tighten up the belt buckle here and see what I can do differently Sometimes all it takes is change up.

When I stalled it was more just me needing a break. It's not ideal to spend months/year+ always trying to be in a calorie deficit. That break helped both mental and physical so now I'm ready again to be focused.

Weight was up at the very first of the month from sodium but back to the 135 today. So, will keep track as the weeks go. Hoping for some progress.

Elfmage That's the same weight number I need to cut my weight back to. Right now for whatever the reason my body is refusing to let go of this weight so doc scheduled me with a specialist the end of this month. This better be an answer!

Starting weight for my cut (just a different term than "diet" used to mean period of time eating in a calorie deficit) is 135. Goal is to get below 125 but even if it's 127 or 126, I won't be discouraged or anything. Just want to get the number to that "healthy weight range" factor and have it stay there for a bit.

Well I've made a few changes myself.
I'm finding that preplanning and pre-preparation are helping.
So now I take the few minutes in the evening and make up my menu for the following day and do any pre prep Then come the next morning I'm all set to go and NO DETOURING.

I took a break from trying to lose and tracking calories. It was well needed but even with not focusing on eating healthy all of the time, I have managed to maintain instead of gain, which is encouraging. I'm going to get back to counting calories and trying to lose weight again soon as I'm close to the healthy weight range for my height.

Did you resolve to get healthy in 2017? Sure you have. We all have or we wouldn't be here....yet again, still.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have that promise finally fulfilled and ensure that we never have to lose the weight again?
By working together we can help each other meet those life-enhancing goals.

If we resolve to do anything this year let's resolve to achieve our goals. In sharing our journey we can make this the year every one of us overcome troubling food habits and transforms our health.

Starting January 12 those that choose to participate will weigh in and post their starting date and pounds looking to lose. Then once a week from there on in just state:
Lost: x number of pounds
Nothing Lost
Stayed The Same

This year each of us myself included, who are seriously dead set with a dedicated commitment to turning their lives around 360 degrees, making those life-changing choices in lifestyle, health and diet and finally wanting, needing to reach that ultimate goal...those are the people that will be here.
