Ran a PR (officially) in the Corporate Run 5K last night! Not as good a time as I'd hoped, but a good result even so. I've run faster 5K unofficially, but not by much...finished in 30:24 which was more than 10 minutes faster than last year (which was my first ever race). I'm happy with it, especially since the wind was really hard and it was hot.

If you're not having fun, then why run?

You don't get to choose how you're going to die, or when. You can only decide how you're going to live. Now.

Won third place medal in a trail race. It was my first time winning anything

The possibilities always outnumber the problems.

A PR at the Boerne Texas 10 race.
I guess all the resting I did while my foot healed did me some good.

OK -- here goes! I'm getting back into really being able to run again coming off a serious foot injury and two surgeries... I ran my first half marathon in about 16 months on Feb 1st in San Francisco doing 45 sec walk/30 sec run intervals, with my only goal being "to finish" which I did.

For March, I've bumped my intervals to 45 second walk/35 second run (I'm working slowly back up to running more than I walk!). This week I ran my first sub 13:30 mile! Still much slower than I used to be, but I'm calling it my March victory for now!

Wag more, bark less.
