Hey Glitterati! Today is the last day of March. I'm pretty sure I logged in every day. I haven't been tracking my food though and I haven't been exercising much.

A new month starts tomorrow! And spring is in the air! I'm moving tomorrow.

For the April challenge....? Glitterkillr, you mentioned going outside more as a challenge. That sounds good. Any thoughts? Like doing some amount of outdoor exercise every day, even if it's only going for a walk on your lunch break?

Good Monday morning!

Itís ok to slip once in awhile, Cmighty! Hope youíre feeling better.

My sublettors have vacated and last night I went over to steam the carpet. I wonít move all of my thing in until the weekend, itís nice to have some time to clean before all my stuff is in there.

Springís coming here too! Itís energizing!

I made spicy soba noodles from http://smittenkitchen.com/2007/08/so-good-
soba/ for dinner. I ate it warm before I realized it was meant to be eaten cold. It was delish! I have never eaten buckwheat noodles before. I really like them

Its my weekend off so Im browsing All Recipes for ideas for meals for the week. Also doing some spring cleaning. Magnolia, how is your de-cluttering going?

Ive been packing my leftovers for lunch either before I serve myself or as Im cleaning up after dinner. It makes it really easy grab and go in the morning and I can "copy custom food" for the nutrition tracker.

hi friends!

so far, so good. i did stress-binge on half a conainer of haagen-dazs last night, but it was otherwise a low-calorie day so no harm was done on the scae this morning. i'm jumping on the exercise bandwagon today with a walk outside this morning and then an upcoming gym appointment this afternoon.

I think personally Id like to spend more time outdoors in April. Its spring time where I live and Im getting my garden going and enjoying the outdoors before it becomes oppressively hot. Its also the start of minor league baseball! So Id like to trade gym time for active time outdoors and TV watching time for baseball watching time. I guess April isnt much fun outdoors for people in other climates/hemispheres or with allergies.

The SuperMoon was pretty cool!

I took on some extra temp work so I've had to work both days of the weekend. Plus I'm gearing up to move, so I didn't exercise at all this week, other than walking. eeps!

Went for a long walk to a park near my house to see the "super moon". We watched it rise then walked home and watched a werewolf movie :)

That stew looks good!

I set my Spark emails to go directly to a SP folder and not into my Inbox, because there are so many! But I manage to remember to take a quick peak every day.

I made a stew heavily influcenced by this recipe allrecipes.com/Recipe/Spinach-Lentil

. I added red pepper flakes and cumin then realized it was way too spicy so I added 2 diced potatoes and an additional 1/2 cup red lentils. I cooked it down into a thick stew instead of a soup. Its very good!

I get the daily emails. I turned off all the other email notifications but I still get a daily email. It links to a pretty good article and you get points for reading the email and for reading the article, then your already logged on and you can visit the trackers, teams, etc.

I kind of took the weekend off. My husband and I went to a Korean restaurant Saturday. Its hard to track what you ate when you dont even know what some of it is called. It was delicious. Im sure I went over my nutrition goals but I enjoyed it and its only occasionally that we go out.

Yesterday I made a lasagna which was really delicious. I found whole wheat lasagna pasta and made a filling from tofu, egg, parsley, nutritional yeast sauteed onions and mushrooms. It can be made vegan without the eggs (I think, I dont know all the non-obvious animal byproducts) it just makes the filling runnier. I also have started making my own pasta sauce to avoid high fructose corn syrup and other sweeteners. I use the crockpot so it takes care of itself. I use a large can or crushed tomatoes, a large can of petite diced tomatoes, sauteed onions, garlic, jalapeno and oregano, and some anchovies (optional) and let it go all night. I was feeling my Italian blood pumping through my veins so we had a bottle of red wine with dinner. Whole wheat, tofu, cheese-less lasagna...dont tell my grandfather!

I like raspberry vinagrette, too!

I'm de-cluttering and organizing my stuff today, It's only 2:30pm here and I've already almost hit my 10,000 steps target! I might do an aerobics dvd later. I got a book from the library yesterday called Body Clutter, it's by Fly Lady. I haven't read it yet, but I'm doing the de-cluttering she usually recommends. I just threw out a bunch of half-done crappy knitting projects. A bit sad that I didn't stick to them but it's good to finally admit I'm not going back to them. Spring cleaning!

I was shopping for interesting salad dressings (since Im eating alot more salads) and I found a "no calorie" ranch dressing. The ingredient list was filled lots of inedible sounding things. I ended up getting Newman's Own raspberry walnut vinaigrette. The ingredients sound like things I would put in homemade salad dressing, its tasty.

I logged in yesterday but forgot to check in with the team. Food craft convinced me to try roasted beets. I usually pressure cook the beets I grow (I usually let them grow bigger than softballs so it would take forever to roast them). I got some fresh beets on my weekly grocery trip for roasting. Im looking forward to them!

hee! Nice of you to share your cupcakes!

I'm being challenged about eating .... I sublet my apartment because I went to Sweden for a few months and I'm not back into my own place til April. So...I'm staying with a friend who has terrible, fatty eating habits, plus she and her boyfriend often have a big mess in the kitchen, the fridge is always overflowing, blah blah blah .... so I've been eating only stuff like fruit and peanut butter crackers because I just don't have fridge space or clean counters and stovetop to cook proper meals.

I'm just whining! It'll be better during the week, they laze out and enjoy themselves on the weekends. And I'll have my own place again in a few weeks. And it will be pretty good to start fresh when I move back to my old place, I'll pretty much start my kitchen supplies from scratch after not being there since the fall! Fresh start!

3/4/11 I try to log on each day. I use alot of the tools but I find the nutrition tracker to be one of the most helpful. If you want a snack and see that you have 300 calories, you can also see that you are lacking in protein vs carbohydrates. It can really be helpful is knowing what kind of snack would be best.
