Instead of juicing my beet greens and then adding them to my smoothie I blended them. I also did my celery leaves the same way.

Did another magnifecent combo today.

I did my usual kale and water base. Into that I added one banana, and fresh strawberries.
To that I added the juice of a mean green juice I did in my juicer plus an orange.

Worked pretty well together.

Nothing new today, but a different combination.

I did my kale and water base as usual. To that I added juice from 3 carrots, 4 oranges, and a cucumber. I added frozen strawberry slices and blended.

It was spectacular.

Grape juice! The grapes we got at the being of the week are not going to last much longer. So, I'm planning to juice them and then pour the juice into the vitamix with my greens.

Nothing quite new as far as ingredients, but new to me in how I prepared it.

I juiced 2 oranges, a peach, one beet, two red apples and one granny smith.

I blended some almond milk and turnip greens, added one banana, several strawberries and some blueberries and blended again.

To all this I added the juice from my juicer.............. DELICIOUS. Not exactly green due to the beets, but I 'll take it.

Nothing new but a new combination:

Kale, spinach, cranberries, raspberries, grapefruit, banana, ginger and cranberry juice. A bit tart, but I like tart. And the color was amazing!

Today was my first try with cilantro. 1 ripe pear, small handfull of cilantro, dash ginger, lemon juice and 1 cup water. Definitely a keeper, but then I really like cilantro and ginger.

I added a few new ingredients to my smoothie..... I did a celery, carrot, spinach, strawberry, banana and a little whey protein smoothie tonight.

New taste for me. I did not hate it at all. I guess I just have to get used to drinking smoothies.

I used a blood orange day before yesterday. Good.
And yesterday, bok choy.

Not new, but different combo today, celery, cucumber, chard, parsley, ginger and an apple. I usually do 2 fruits. This was very refreshing and cool.

And my new blender came today!!

The inside of the aloe vera plant is a sticky guey gel. The bottled stuff is not the same. I know you won't have a problem finding a plant, Dara. Call around to the nurseries and also the oriental grocers. There's one located not too far from the Sacramento food co-op.

I want to add aloe vera juice. I hear good things about it. I know some of you scrape from the plant. I saw a bottle of aloe vera juice at WF yesterday. Didn't buy it but what do you think? I still have not found a plant yet. Heading to my nursery this week.

I now add a stalk of celery to every smoothie. It keeps coming up in my readings as being so good for you. Who knew??

Also parsley, I trim some every morning and add.

Going to use pomegranate juice this morning and see what that is like. Organic and 100%.

Celery is incredibly healthy for us. A natural source of the type of sodium our body needs. Loads of other qualities. I too had a problem with this until I started juice feasting. I'm now using about 12 stalks a day in my 2 quarts of green juice. YUMMMM

Today I added a handful of almonds & pistachios that i had soaked overnight in water to leech out the salt and oils

I juiced a bunch of carrots and celery yesterday and what I didn't drink I froze in an ice cube tray. Added a couple cubes to my smoothie this morning and it was great! I've always been nervous to add carrot becuase my blender isn't that powerful so I was glad to get that flavor in there. Plus I love my smoothies super cold!

Dara, if you mean you need a green smoothie recipe that uses raw, fresh ginger just use ginger in it. A pinch goes a very long way as I'm sure you know. Also google it and see what you come up with.

I need a recipe for a ginger smoothie. I imagine that could taste pretty bad if paired with the wrong things. Ideas?

I've been using rejuvelac in my smoothies. I'm finding that a little tough on my tummy so will stop as of today. I'll try it again in about 6 months.

Nothing new for me to day but wanted to drop in and see what everyone else has been adding. I have chia seeds on my list and I just started growing some parsley. And, I think I am going to go for a tomato based smoothie this week for lunch. Yummm...
