What if we woke up tomorrow with only those things that we thanked God for today?

3 Keys to Maximize Your Marriage on a Daily Basis
By Deborah L. Mills

Marriage is something that you entered into with another human being. You didnít get married all by yourself, it took two people. It took a man and a woman agreeing that this is what you both wanted in life. Just like it took two to get married, it will take two to maximize the potential in your relationship.

You are full of potential and so is your mate. Now, just imagine the power that is released when the two of you are working together on one accord to maximize your marriage.

Maximizing the potential in your marriage will take maximum effort, it wonít just happen. It is a decision that you act on.

The three keys below will help to keep you on track as you maximize your marriage on a daily basis.

1. Act from a heart of love. When your actions are drawn from a heart of love, love will be the overriding aspect experience in your marriage. Acting from a heart of anger or hurt often times causes a person to do things in the moment that they will regret later. When love is the first thing you tap into; when it is the underlying reason for everything you do and say, the home becomes a safe haven. Love becomes a refuge and a shelter that covers each of you.

2. Forgive quickly. The act of forgiveness allows your heart to begin healing. It does not let the other person off the hook. It centers you, so that you can think clearly and begin to move forward. When you extend forgiveness, it is for your benefit. Your mate will reap some of the rewards of you forgiving them. HOWEVER, FORGIVENESS IS FOR YOU.

3. Try to outdo each other in your giving. Wow, just think of the atmosphere that would dwell in your home if both husband and wife have a mission to out give and out serve one another. If you each have the mission and goal to serve one another so that your mate wants for nothing Ė my goodness, just think of the atmosphere that would set in your marriage.

These things do not make you soft or a pushover. It will take two working together towards the same goal. When you are working together towards the same end, each spouse sees what is possible. The three keys above are fairly easy to accomplish when you are happy and all is going well. I challenge you to work together and keep them in mind even when things are challenging. It will take two and together you can maximize your marriage.
