I had problems (swelling etc) when on this low recommended amt of protein--do much better on about 80 gm/ day. I have the beginnings of losing protein via the kidneys caused by my diabetes, so the higher amt makes up for the losses. I am ovolacto (real dairy freak) so I get plenty.

According to the article I need ~48 grams of protein which I actually eat more of at the moment.

Thanks for sharing these articles. Apparently, I need @ 68 grams of protein which is actually more than what I normally eat. emoticon
