Exercising because I enjoy it even though I have to modify everything since I was involved in a car accident. It is relaxing and reduces my stress levels. Eating the correct foods at the precise times with snacks is harder for me.

It all depends what exercise I'm doing. Since it's summer and I'm back into swimming, exercise is easy and enjoyable, So for now, staying on track food wise is the bigger struggle.

Come winter, getting in the exercise will be the bigger struggle.

I would say for me exercise is the easier of the two. With food it seems like such a constant battle it become so tiring to make the right choices when all I want is that donut, french fries, ice cream, etc. Also I have trouble with portion size and really being accurate enough with it.

Right now, neither one is easy but dieting is less torturous. The funny thing is that those says when my step count is up, my weight goes down. Go figure...

Right now, exercise. I hate it and it hurts some days but it's easier for me to get up and move than to have to always think if I'm eating the right thing or not. It's only 30 minutes a day, while eating is a whole day type of commitment.

This time around the dieting has come easier in the past it's been exercise. For me right now I think it's because it's been so hot I don't feel like walking or going to the gym, get all hot and sweaty there and leave and be blasted by heat LOL. But overall the food part has been much easier this time around

I find the food side much easier than motivating myself to exercise. I know some people get addicted to it and it's no big deal for them. I just asked my boyfriend if he would order me a Wii Fit to see if that would motivate me to exercise, but I still don't know if that will do the trick. I want to be motivated to exercise, but I still haven't found anything that I really enjoy to get me going that makes me want to get up and do it. Food on the other hand has come easy for me. I just set my mind to it and did it. I decided I wanted to lose weight and so I changed my eating habits. I went extreme at first, so when I joined Weight Watcher's and had more options it was an easy transition. I wish I could take that same mindset with exercise!!

Yvonne I am not a fan of walking either! I ride my bike right now. I only walk once a week while my kids are in their guitar lessons. Otherwise I find other things.

I am hoping as I lose weight and become more fit I am able to do some sports. Like raquet ball, swimming etc. The fun stuff. I would much rather play games to lose weight.

ditto LUVINMYCRAZYKIDS...August 8th is the add on date for exercise...one month of tracking food and successful change then the exercise part gets thrown in...THEY say a new habit can be woven into lifestyle in 21 days...I hope it is a smooth transition, but whatever it is I am in!! Diet is definitely easier for me...

Mostly because most exercise I do right now hurts. I also have arthritis among other things.

However, I can feel things changing. The food is getting hard to stay motived since the scale is not moving much.

I am just getting started (for the millionth time in my life) and it seems that the diet is easier. Once I begin adding more activity, I am hoping I will say BOTH! Giving myself a minute to get the calories under control (I think I am there) and then I plan to add in the serious exercising.

Crossing fingers! LOL!

ok.. I know people will be throwing things at me but I'm going to answer both.. and neither. It seems to me that I get the handle on one but the other one slips. When I find the dieting part easy, the exercise is not so much.. and when exercise is easy (well.. as easy as it can be!) such as now, the diet side slips. I'm having so much fun exercising lately that it doesn't seem like exercise but the diet side.. ooh ice cream here, celebrations with cake there.. it all is so pressing.. then the diet will get easier.. and the exercise not so much because it will get colder, no dragon boat, no kayak..

Joyce

For me , i find it hard to find time to get in the exercise, i make more excuses why i don't have the time, or i'll do it later... i think staying on my diet is easier, cause i always have the right foods to eat in the house, plus i'm on sparks everyday to keep me on track.

I find excercising easier. When I want to have a treat food wise I always need to check with myself that I will stay within my daily calorie goals. I never have to check to make sure it's ok to excercise. I just go do it.

We all know those who diet but don't really exercise and those who exercise but don't really diet.

Yes, I know a balance of both is the best way to go but what comes easier to you dieting or exercising?

And I'm using the term "easier" loosely. Should I have said, "less tortuous"? LOL!
