I think one can never have too much information. I am not familiar with the book you are asking about. However, for myself, I find that the Spark People articles and nutrition tracker is about all I can handle.

My name is Nadine and I live in Winter Haven, Fl

My earlier post in this thread I said to look for a cheaper alternative to a Vitamix. I found a Buzzfeed article that recommended this Ninja blender. amzn.to/1GC4dMn
The Ninja blender is only $120 on amazon and has a 4 star rating with over 2000 reviews.

BTW, I own a Vitamix, so I can't personally vouch for this Ninja blender. Just trying to help

I will have to look but, I think I have that book ?????? I buy health and wellness books all the time. A good web site to find those book's in FC&A Publishing.com/ Seniors. I have bought 20 or more book's from them and have not been dissatisfied with any of them. The book's are written in plain English and it explains everything. I haven't bought a book that was less than an inch thick. I feel my money was well spent!!! Give them a try and see. Be warned though they have a lot of books like It Pay's to be a Senior( contains things that you can get for free like free hearing aids, free glasses, trip's that are next to nothing I could go on and on . Check it out!!!

Probably 90% of my diet is from Dr. Furhman recipes.

One important kitchen tool you'll need to make many of his recipes will be a high-speed blender like a Vitamix. These are very expensive, so look for a cheaper alternatives.

Another issue with his recipes are large ingredient lists. An extreme example is an Asian Stir Fry which has 25 ingredients. It tastes marvelous, but this one takes a bit of time to prepare. Also, if you're a single person you'll have left-overs. Many recipes will make a lot of servings. His Anti-cancer soup makes 10 servings. It freezes well though.

I have to plan ahead which recipes I'm going to make because there may be some ingredients that typically are not in your pantry or spice cupboard. An example, one recipe I make needs Miso. I never heard of this stuff and it took me a while to find a store that had it.

Enjoy the book.

I am reading "Eat to Live" by Joel Fuhrman, M.D. and I am thinking seriously by overhauling my way of eating. I got the book at the Library but I am thinking this would be a good book to keep around, so I think I will look on the internet and see if I can find a bargain. I used a lot of his ideas to lose weight without ever knowing. Now I understand how I lost the weight and why I feel so much better.
