Thanks for responding... yes, during the night our bodies sweat a lot and the perspiration gets into the sheets and bed. That dampness gets into the matrass. I remember that a matrass salesman once told me that some matrasses get moldy after some time! So the bed can use some 'airing' after we get up.
After we got a dog, I also read that bugs like fleas and other parasites don't like light, they prefer to lay their eggs in dark places so that is one more reason to not make the bed. I make a point of opening the curtains of my bedroom as wide as I can in the morning!

i've always made my bed straight away. I'm into Feng Shui as well.

But never thought of leaving our bed unmade for health reasons. Certainly you have given me food for thought.

For all your morning and evening routines you could set them up as extra goals in spark people and use that as a kind of a check off list to be sure you are getting them done.

Each of us is different so will have slightly different routines and what way works for getting them done is different for each of us.

Thank you. Very elaborate article. I finish my shower with cold water every day; if I don't I feel like i'm not finished! It helps to not feel so cold after turning off the tap.

I don't make my bed though! If you make your bed right after you get up you 'lock in' the perspiration and bugs. Beds are best left open and unmade for health purposes.

yes Thank you. I have morning & night routines, but hubby & I are semi-retired. That means no real schedule and routines often get derailed. I try to stay flexible, but if routines get pushed off too long, then they go by the wayside. Other than really thinking of them as a priority, any suggestions? BTW--Hubby doesn't like exercising so it isn't something that we could make a habit together. Thanks for any ideas. Really loved the article. It reinforced how important my routines are.
