I've tried many times to do a morning exercise routine and about a week in, I begin snoozing just a few times too many to squeeze the work out in. This time around I've been exercising after work, instead of before, and it's definitely a better system for me, even though I wish I was enough of a morning person to get it all out of the way early!

That is why I started working out in the morning! Noboby interrupts me at 5:00 AM! However, I know that isn't the answer for everybody. It's getting cold in the morning now, so I'm switching back to afternoons and working around the issues that involves!

I had similar issues for our plans last night, but plans ended up cancelled. I worked exercises in around other things throughout the day. I did curls while helping my daughter with homework. Had my son read while I did my rowing exercise, etc. I had planned on doing part of them while waiting at our activity, fall carneval at the school. Just get in what you can and get back on track as soon as possible.

Squeeze in what you can, even an exercise at a time, wherever you are. Things like wall pushups, standing abduction and adduction, calf raises can be done just about anywhere. Check out the options in the FITNESS section!

I have strength training scheduled for tonight, but I was hired for some interactive theater work tonight--not taking the job was out of the question because a) I could really use the money (who couldn't?) and b) the production company is owned/run by friends of mine, and I know they've been having casting issues lately, which I don't want to contribute to.

In any case, by the time I get home tonight chances are very slim that I'll have the energy or motivation to do my strength training routine. I could probably squeeze it in tomorrow, but then I'll either end up doing it two days in a row, or having to redo my entire work out schedule.

How do/would you guys deal with this sort of thing?
