Nope never done it before but friends of mine have and have raved about how awesome a race it is. I am totally psyched! emoticon My time is pretty slow so I will be toward the back of the pack.

:o) That's okay--I just learned myself not too long ago. If you have run recent races and have qualifying times, you can start towards the front of the pack. In theory this is supposed to help with the congestion in the really big races like this since you should be grouped with people who have a relatively similar pace.

I'm strongly considering it but will probably wait another month or so before officially committing. It haven't done it before. Have you or will you apply for one of the seeded corrals?

Hello Hot Chocolate runners, I just signed up for the 15K over the weekend. I wasn't planning on doing another race this year, but my girlfriend wanted to one more. We debated between the hot chocolate and the inaugural Perfect 10 at Navy Pier. The hot chocolate won. Until tow years ago the start used to be up north right across the street form me. Very convenient. However it has grown so much they had to move it to grant park.

Chelles Belles, I won't be able to meet at the expo on Friday; I will be there a little later. Maybe we could plan meet after the race.

-Hope-

YES! This race is on the streets of Chicago instead of the path, which is much better (except for running over the bridges and losing GPS signals in the underpasses). There's a 5K and a 15K, both with a 15 minute mile limit. I'm not sure how good of a race it is for walkers since this will be my first time in it. But I've heard it's great for run/walkers as well.

Yep...Just google the Hot Chocolate run in Chicago...It will be November 5th...two more weeks...it will be my first time running in it but I heard the goodie bag was one of the best which is why i signed up for it... emoticon lol but i also heard they revamped the whole thing because of a lot of complaints from previous years. This year should be better for the participants.

Anyone running the Hot Chocolate? This race is HUGE, so it wouldn't surprise me! I'm running the 15K, and I'll be at the expo on Friday. If any of you ladies would like to meet up, I'll be there around 6, but could be there as early as 5:30.
