I don't have words of wisdom either - I don't know why I keep forgetting to pray, or why it seems so hard for me now, when before it was one of the best times of my day... Only thing I know is, when we do what we can do, no matter how "little" we think it is, God is listening and caring and understanding.

Does the program that did your weight loss surgery have a support system you can turn to in times like this? Ours has a weekly support group. Maybe you can talk to a counselor there - whatever is available may help, as they'll understand your experience with the surgery & aftermath.

I'll be thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers (promise!). Take care~

Aren't we blessed to serve a merciful God who allows mistakes and slovenlyness on our part? He is so good, he always forgives when we give him more of a wave that the worship he deserves. Don't fret too much about what's going on right now.

Baby steps. Acknowledge what you're doing wrong. Put him first and everything else will fall into place.

I don't think any of us know why we move away from God or doing as we should except the devil. He is clapping and rubbing his hands together when we get too busy. Too busy leads us away from our Lord. I have learned this the hard way.

As you exercise you can just talk to God. When you are driving in the car talk to Him in anything you do you can just talk to Him. Don't think it has to be a formal sit down/knell down prayer time all the time. He is just waiting for us to talk to Him, anytime and anywhere. It is so remarkable that He is just waiting to hear from us.

The diet thing, start back a little at a time. Be careful of doing too much and getting burned out. Make it a slow even time and then it will become a habit. Hang in there girl you can do this.

I don't have any really awesome words of wisdom but do understand your frustration...the one thing I do know is that God has not deserted you..do not give up..I know you can get this back on track..one thing I don't understand is why get up at 4:30 am..unless you have a lot do to before you start your day..know I am praying for you! I have not done well the last year, on again off again trying. I had my gastric in 2001. Gained back 40 of the 100 pounds I lost. Got very depressed. I now get very shaky and sweat with some foods and of course sugar. I want to start today to get back on track. Got up at 4:30 and did the elliptical for 30 minutes. Tried to read and pray. My Christian life feels like it's been on hold and I am just existing. I don't pray like I once did, can't seem to read my bible. I feel like most days God just gets a wave instead of the worship and praise he truly deserves. Started out with my protein drink and I have my bottle of water. I am not sure why I am having such a struggle right now but I really want to try harder and get this back off. So any encouragment and accountablity would be appreciated. Thanks
