My memoir is not for my family. I made all my adult children agree not to read it. This is for other women, so they can learn about some of the things I've been through (married to a sociopath), and how to get help.

Memories are always fun to write and leave for those who follow. We need that connection with OUR past. In this world it is too easily lost. Good for you!

I'm writing a memoir right now. I write a lot of poetry. There is always so much to write about, no matter what genre you choose.

I totally enjoy writing on my weight loss journey. its nice to have a place to note whats working and what areas I can improve on. since losing weight is a process it can be nice to see my journey unfold in my journal.

usually I too write on my goals, etc. however, I also enjoy writing descriptively about each season and different settings. a chilly snow filled breeze danced through the leaves....lol any who am feeling inspired to tinker with a mystery. seems like it would force me out of a comfort zone and I would be challenged. emoticon
perhaps what I need could be a good challenge. im intrigued.

My topic is alway people. I have written two published books both set in the 30's 40's and 50's and they are all about people. The first one is about a boarding house in a small town and the people who lived in it. The second come out of the first, a continuation of a story that would not turn me loose. However, now I am playing with a mystery. I love a good mystery. I have an extra plot around if anyone want to use it.

My subjects run the gamit. I work in a technical field, so get a lot of writing there. Everything else allows me to step outside that box.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

I enjoy writing about my weight loss goals, set backs and achievements. I also like writing about my personal journey. sometimes I try to write romance. but writing a mystery seems fun.
