I loved the Edith Piaf song! Makes me feel the same way that Aretha Franklin's Respect does, Powerful and Strong!

My favorites are songs with a great beat that make me want to dance and workout harder! It's also a fun challenge to keep up with the beat on a really fast song while running or using the elliptical machine. I really like Lady GaGa and Basshunter, they would have to be my 2 favorites. I'm also a big fan of 3OH!3, and basically anything else that is pop/techno.

I always workout to "dance tunes", so those songs that are played at wedding receptions haha. And when I'm not listening to those, I am listening to some really crazy, techno, electric music. I'd love to spice up my playlist though!

I set up mine the other day. It has some of everything, but I tried to stick to the really upbeat tempos to keep me moving. Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Lady Gaga, Aaliyah, Muse, even some of the Disney tunes I like!

I find myself listening to more pop when I workout. I don't really like it much any other time.

I like fun tunes. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Voltaire (Cannibal Buffet or Zombie Prostitute) and Seamus Kennedy (Old MacDonald's Deformed Farm, The Scotsman). Yeah my taste in music tends to be a little warped. But these will definitely put a sping in your step!

I went out for my walk this morning listening to my "Workout" playlist. This is a very eclectic and somewhat random group of songs that perk me up when I hear them - they range from Mozart & Bach to Michael Franti, Modest Mouse, & White Stripes, and I always play them on "shuffle" so I never know what I'm going to get.

Anyway. Today "Je ne regrette rien" by Edith Piaf came up...I don't hear it often and every time I do, I'm psyched up, revved up and motivated to conquer the world...

Here's a link to a YouTube of Piaf performing the song in 1961 - it is in French and I will put a rough translation on my blog - but listen to the passion in her voice!
