3 months... Wow, yeah. That's usually the time I'd start finding things "awful" with dieting. Except this time I'm not even feeling like I'm dieting. Am I getting bumps on my road? You bet I am! But it helps to think "this is for life, so what if it takes a little longer to get where you want to go?"

I'm more energised, more confident, more determined than ever before.

Until the next time I trip up ;) But SP'll be there to help.

For motivation... I know what's helping me a lot is finding motivation in little things... like thinking of how good it'll feel after I'm done with my workout, how nice it'll be to listen to that latest upbeat track while on the elliptical... and yes, sometimes I still feel like "urrrgh", but that's part of the journey, too. Keep plugging away! I know everyone says it around here but /it works/!

It is hard to believe that we are heading into month four of our journey! The scale can be so frustrating at times! I really get frustrated on the weeks I have worked hard, ate well and it has not moved. I noticed though I seem to have a pattern that I will lose for a couple of weeks stay the same one or two weeks and then lose again. I am learning to accept what the scale is showing me! emoticon emoticon

Thanks for posting about being emotional about weigh-ins. I do that too sometimes, but am learning to be more relaxed. I also think that SparkPeople helps - a lot! It's nice to know that I'm "normal".

P.S. Just how aggravating is it for me to see every post just how very close I am to my first BIG goal (1/4th of the weight lost)! Look at that!!

Yes, this week we'll all be turning into 3 month Sparkers! Honestly, the time flies.

I'm doing much better this time around. Last year when I tried to lose the weight I was a BEAR. If anything changed, I got poor sleep before a weigh in, someone ate my snack, we were going out....I would be so unbearable. I would get very upset and take it out on everyone else. This time around I find myself a lot more relaxed about this. I'm not constantly subtracting numbers to figure out dates when I'll be at certain points and when plans change I don't feel like my whole week has been destroyed.

I'm not sure what's different this time, but I feel a lot more confident now.

I still need to iron out a better schedule for myself so I can actually get things done though!
